@@Sirwastealot I would put Steyn ahead of Mcgrath but not because of pace. And Akram bowled faster than Steyn. Steyn was always more consistent than Asif except at the end of his career. I always thought he was like a brutal cat. Toying with his prey. Then finishing them off when he felt like it. Damn shame we follow up great praise lamentations of his self destruction. What can ICC and cricket everywhere do to eradicate match and spot fixing?

In front of his bowling talent...Mcgrath is like nothing... most difficult bowler to face ever.... One of my favourite bowlers...I always rate him at number 1...hands down... after him...Wasim Akram...

thnx for your appreciation from Pakistan. unfortunately many NDIANS in this comment section trying to disrespect asif's bowling just because he is a Pakistani.

thats a bit of a stretch saying he was way more talented than mcgrath, but definetely a wasted player

Bhai log...just see his bowling clips the way he moved/swung the ball both sides as he wishes... irrespective of the condition...he was the rarest of rare talent... McGrath was dependent on conditions..

He was the real fool who messed things up when everything was going his way. People complained of his hurtful and rude behavior. Pride always comes before a fall.

To get clarke out in that way was unbelievable!

ty cricket aus for recognizing Asif. Sad to watch performances like this and then wonder what if. The most natural cutter of the ball. Immense talent.

They could have matched the Wasim and Waqar era but for stupid match fixing. A waste of talent as Amir was never the same bowler after his ban.

Well well that’s the thing I like about Australia. While other nations social media handles just show theri respective interests, Aussies appreciate the talent even if it goes against them 👍🏻 👍🏻
