As an English cricket fan I must say I really love the Australian cricket KZbin channel. They show good cricket, whether that of their own or their opponents. Contrast this to the ECB channel which only ever shows English cricket, it is honestly embarrassing. Much Respect.

Very good number three. He was a perfectionist and put so much pressure on himself. The story goes that he was in the nets at Adelaide in 2013/14 facing a bowling machine delivering balls at 95+ mph at his body, literally torturing himself. We hung him out to dry after that - and forced him to open with Ian Bell in the West Indies in 2015, and then just discarded him. Very sad.

A lot of people were questioning Cook's place in the England side before this series. He had a run of poor scores the previous English season, but turned it around with a century against Pakistan final Test of the summer. All five Cook's centuries against Australia were made in Australia, and he made one on each of the main Test grounds. Can't be too many overseas players who've done that.

Cook never played this way in his last 4-5 years, after 2012. He became too defensive. He cut out on a lot of strokes. Hence wasn't able to score many hundreds.

This usually happened because he got out many times on his off side shot, anyone can have doubts on his technique after failure.

England would have won a Test Championship around that period. The team was fabulous beating Aussies and Indians at their den.

That was a merciful declaration by Strauss, I would have had Cook and Trott grind the bowlers into the dirt.
