@@cheesemccheese5780 It's the Mike deness saga... Mike Denese (Match Referee) had suspended a few Indian players, citing discipline issues..(excessive apeeling). Indian board threatened to scrap the tour midway. They felt they were wrongly targeted, whereas SA players were treated lenient. SA cricket board decided to ban Mike Deness from the cricket ground, in order to please Indian board and save the mother of all cash cows (the Indian tour). In Response The ICC decided to not give the next test match official status. But luckily, Jagmohan Dalmiya (the then chairman of BCCI), didn't want any player charged by deness to play in the following game. To lighten the tension, and media speculation that proclaimed that india was a bully.... Hence it could yet be an official test match in the future when reviewed.
