I personally never understood why people don't speak up when they are getting dragged by someone's lies. I think that what made people believe even more that Jimin was guilty was the fact that she disappeared after her last post and never really tried to defend herself. Like, yeah sure, it's cool that she may have tried to take care of it in private, but I feel like when an issue is made public, it should be resolved publicly to avoid people misunderstanding and hating the wrong person.

You missed one important point in Mina's boyfriend scandal. Mina actually claimed that the ex-girlfriend's father swore at her and insulted her. But the ex-girlfriend released screenshots of the father's polite texts. That's when people started realizing how much Mina tends to lie about these things.

As a person who was terribly bullied when I was younger to the point that I have many thoughts about not being in the world anymore, there comes a point where you have to realize your bully only has as much power to hurt you as you give them. I would never tell the names of any of my bullies from that dark period in my life because it would negate both their ability and mine to grow and learn to do and be better. I did see a few of them years later and I found that when asked most of them didn't remember what they had done and had no idea the extent of what was happening to me at the time. They apologized and while some of it has left mental and emotional scars that probably will always be there I find I am stronger for it and better at sticking up for myself and empathizing with others who are in pain.

mina didn't just ruin jimin's career, she's also ruined all of the other members careers. not to mention the trauma everyone involved had. bullying is a serious matter but the way mina dealt with it was so beyond unnaceptable. i feel bad for everyone involved, mina aswell because mental illness can lead to selfish and unplanned behaviour that you can never go back and fix, the damage is permanent. but i feel specially bad for jimin, she saw mina speaking whatever distorted thoughts that came to her mind during months without never being able to defend herself and show her side to the public. everything about it is so sad.

I remember when Russian kpop community was shocked to read the news about Jimin and AOA and many kpop fans were on Mina’s side. But the more news appeared the more fans started to doubt whether Mina was an ordinary victim or a victim who became a villain with victim behavior. The scariest thing I’ve seen is when Mina uploaded the post of her veins being cut with blood. It was terrific. And then we all discovered she payed on the platform which gave access to some disturbing content for money to download this cut hands’ photo & uploaded on Instagram ☠️

Actually at first, i was defending her and i was on her side. As someone who has also suffered from depression and experienced being left out and being bullied, i feel where she's coming from and i want to sympathize with her bcs i know how hard that is for her. I constantly commented on her posts, positive words and i say that she should quit sns and focus on her healing because sns will not help her. But after witnessing all of this, seeing how inconsistent her statements are and when dispatch released her conversation with jimin, i was taken a back because none of her claims matches the messages they've exchanged..... But when Idol A gets accused of being a bully, suddenly those same clips everyone laughed about are used as "evidence" of Idol A's abusive nature and how horrible they are. The way "fans" cut up and compile these clips is, they take away the initial context, they only show that specific moment, put it in slow motion, and title it "Idol A hit Idol B HARD" what that does is, it causes the viewer to go in to the video with a predetermined bias of Idol A being the bad guy and often times, unless you're a huge fan who has seen that clip a million times with the initial context, these evidence videos become very believable. And often times, the people who use these videos as evidence long after Idol A has been cleared are the people who were never really fans of the idol in the first place. It's like with the whole Lucas thing (I'm not going to talk about his situation because that's an entirely different discussion, I'm just using this piece as an example of context). One of the things people are using as an example of him being the bad guy is that he fatshamed Winwin. I've seen many people state this and that stemmed from a clip where he said "Winwin is a fatty" yes verbally those words did come out of his mouth, BUT the entire context of the clip was it was part of a whisper challenge GAME and Lucas misheard the actual phrase. During that time, everyone laughed about it (Winwin included). But now, it's used as "evidence" of his character. And the people who continue to use this piece are the ones who likely never watched WayV content or seen that clip. Again, I'm not here to discuss Lucas, just using this tidbit as an example of how things can be twisted when the context is taken away.

To me, it sounds like a young person in the midst of a depressive breakdown. When I was just turning 20 I had a mental breakdown and tried to end it all. In all honesty, the Dispatch release only served to confirm a lot of what K-netizens were already questioning Kwon Mina about. A few months ago in early 2021 she kept posting strange remarks and was caught flat-out lying about the former AOA member in her live streams. Only international fans who didn't pay attention after the accusations blew up have been taken completely off-guard.

Regardless of what really happened in this situation, there’s a disturbing trend nowadays of bullying others by claiming THEY’RE the bullies and getting them in trouble or canceled. It’s disgusting and insulting to actual bullying victims. It’s not just in kpop either. I knew people in highschool and college who would use these kinds of tactics to abuse people they didn’t like or manipulate people in their friend groups.

I was disappointed in Mina regarding this, especially with the hypocrisy and inconsistencies that she had shown, and most of all, refusing to get professional help, even when her loved ones want her to and when she needs it. Even if I am a victim of bullying myself, I absolutely despise people who accuse others with vague statements, like her and most especially, Seo Shin Ae, someone who is pure evil from the day she was born. There are many ways you can have them to stop tormenting you, martial arts was the solution I took.

I've followed Mina on IG for the most of the situation. I watched her spiral off the deep end. It was sad. What little sympathy I had for her vanished when she would not move on from Jimin after a month. Mina became alarmingly and frighteningly obsessed with Jimin. I even recall seeing one user on twitter jokingly saying that maybe Mina was in love with Jimin and was jealous about the men in Jimin's life. Hence why she would always bring up Jimin in nearly everything she ever did or said. Jokes aside, this was painful to watch from start to finish but it seems Mina now has a new purpose and it seems she's trying to restart her life and Jimin too.

I think this whole ''believe victims'' thing is some very flawed reasoning, because you're going from the assumption that they're actually a victim. I think you can be completely sympathetic and understanding, without actually believing everything someone says. There should always be room for critical thought and trying to get to the truth without blaming or taking sides.

I liked Jimin since the beginning and I never wavered. I always thought that Mina's accusations were sketchy, but I was in the minority. It's easy to make accusations, but rarely do I see proof. Netizens and KZbinrs combed through Jimin's appearances whether live or on shows and made not only every look and gesture have a negative connotation, but that she somehow offended every single person she worked with because the other celebrity made a face or joke or some other such nonsense. They blindly followed the words of one celebrity and became a hate mongering crowd that systematically destroyed another person's life and career over unfounded allegations. *They became the bullies.* And then when the receipts started pouring in proving otherwise, all these people who were spewing hate made such quick u-turns that they'd probably set a world record for the largest number of people getting whiplash. Oh the hypocrisy. And they wonder why so many kpop celebrities have mental/emotional health issues, and some severe enough to have tragically ended in suicide.

I was never a fan of Mina or Jimin but I remember when this whole drama started everyone believed Mina and I was like why? People loosed their judgement and had no interest to see evidence and story from the both sides. There was this video kind of exposing Mina and I remember there were so many Mina supporter harassing the KZbinr and even Mina blocked or commented about it which brought more hate to the KZbinr. From the first day I just had this vibe from Mina that she has something to hide and I became sure when she putted ther bloody hands and deleted right after. It was just to keep people talking and hate on Jimin.

@@alexblack4048 I didn’t follow the case closely, but I think it was proven that the accuser was a fan from Brazil who personally resented him and that other accounts “exposing” him that popped up after the initial tweets were trolls looking for an easy target. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I think he was proven innocent and I hope any unhappiness between him and his former group members or anyone else remain of a private, non-criminal nature. I feel really strongly about these bullying/abuse/SA cases, and my heart goes out to anyone who has ever been hurt that way. I do concede though that these cases can be tough, and while it’s vital to show up for victims and show them we care, moving too quickly to indict or cancel anyone can be disastrous as well. You can’t roll back years of bullying and abuse, but neither can you take back horrible personal smears and millions of hateful messages in an innocent person’s inbox.

When I first started liking AOA it was way back when I was getting into KPOP culture and I remembered instantly liking Jimin because she seemed so sweet and I absolutely loved their iconic whisper challenge video! When I heard about the bullying allegations I was really sad because I really liked Jimin but I chose just to let it go and stop being a mini fan. I had stopped following any kind of news on any of the members for a while so learning that this whole situation with Mina and Jimin was turned on it's head was astonishing!! It really is quite sad at the end of the day there are no winners here. I am always surprised why so many ppl get involved with other people's drama. It's so exhausting. I guess drama can be addictive it can also be incredibly destructive. People need to understand that the justice system is based on INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY it's incredibly sad to hear about Jimin and how she ended up. Loved your video by the way.
