In this INSANE Episode, I went from losing two fish to Boating 2 Fish!! It was an absulte epic day fishing the Columbia River. Everything I used to catch these fish is posted on my KZbin channel! Nice video! I also have a similar set up just with an electric trolling motor. It is an adrenaline rush landing these kings on a kayak. You are right on rod length. I stared with a 6'6 MH ugly stick (FYI: this my 1st year salmon fishing in my life) and it is too short. I think the perfect length for me is 7'6 (currently trying out 8'6 but might be a little too long). Watching this video started to pump my adrenaline lol The fight on a kayak is different. Thank you for sharing!

Bro! Thanks a ton for commenting! It is an insane experience catching salmon from the kayak! That’s awesome I love the kayak vibe to it’s pretty stealthy and super fun! Yeah the rod length on my rods are ridiculous it makes it way harder with a long fishing rod. I think you are spot on with your lengths and next year I will be right around those lengths as well!

It’s a pelican catch 100 pretty unsayable u til I built the bumper outriggers! But it can hold a 2.5 go motor so it’s amazing!

Yes! Not on drano lake until may 1st but Wind River is an emergency reg fishing zone and when I was fishing two rods are permitted
