another amazing work of art. When my son passed away last year, i really wanted to create a soap for him. Oh Alice. I know you miss him so much. What a wonderful idea to make a granite memorial soap! It would be great with a wreath swirl to finish it maybe-or a laurel victor's wreath. Alice, I'm so very sorry for your loss... as has been our experience, the heartbreak of losing a child is indescribable... indeed, my heart aches for and prayers are with every parent who's loss has been as such... in our home, Heaven is our hope... but, oh... my dearest Grace... that you would choose to honor someone's son whom you'd come to know only because of your wonderfully inspiring video is very, very touching and, for me, represents just another manifestation of your kind, tender, loving, generous, compassionate, selfless, gracious being.. You never cease to amaze! I love this demonstration of your creativity however, the greater blessing has been the transparency of your heart... I appreciate you so very, very much... Hi yes you can. I would just cut the bars from the top down-sort of like I do for these bars: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSbo5eZhKhlmKs
@Lassie40406 жыл бұрын
This is outstanding. My third attempt will be tomorrow. The first one looked like vomit and the second looked like creamed corn with mold. :P I was wondering, do you put the TBSP of Jojoba at trace or mix with the other oils? I wouldn't know how to enter a TBSP in SoapCalc. Thank you and congratulations on all your fabulous soaps. I see you have lots of envious followers. I'm joining them!
@FromGracetoYou6 жыл бұрын
Hi and welcome Laura💝😃 I sometimes put it in after trace (or in some cases emulsion-where I just mix it enough to keep the oils from separating from the lye water) but lately I have been mixing it with the fragrance or essential oils which I always add just before I pour. In both cases, I add it after mixing the oils and lye. Does that make sense?lol
@Lassie40406 жыл бұрын
Yes! I'm learning all the soap lingo. LOL. I'm going to try adding it to the fragrance. I notice you soap pretty warm (I soap around 90), but since you only mix to emulsion, it looks like you don't have an issue with the batter thickening. Thank you for your quick reply!
@FromGracetoYou6 жыл бұрын
You are welcome! I am working on my next video so I am at my computer lol. I soap at higher temps because of my recipe. I find that my butters get too thick at lower temperatures. The key to liquid batters is how much I mix the batter which you will see if you watch enough of my videos :D

Is that gold mica powder you are throwing into the colander or is it liquid. You are moving so fast that I can't make it out
@FromGracetoYou6 жыл бұрын
Hi-the colors are shown at 1:15-1:19. They are all liquid. I always mix my colors with soap. If you watch the first time I show the pour (which is fast I know) I tell you the colors I add as I go. If you watch the second time-it is slower. Plus, if you click on that little gear icon at the bottom of the video (where it says HD) you can select the speed you would like to view the video. You can watch it a slower rate by clicking .25, .5 or .75 I hope that helps!
