Yay!! LOVE your insight and all of your analyses!! I’m glad you pointed out that Sara made the choice to do what she did. She was not forced. I think that she might become a monster. Victor seemed like he was starting to say, “Everyone changed,” in episode 5. I would really love to see that transformation occur! Fingers crossed! 🤣

You are legitimately the smartest person theory crafting this show. I've read all the Reddit and Discord posts about theories, but your understanding and insights surpass them all. It's incredible how you connect the smallest details and uncover hidden clues that others might have missed. Your ability to piece together the puzzle of this show is nothing short of genius. Every time I stumble upon a theory you've shared, my mind is blown. Your theories are so well-researched and thought-out that they leave me eagerly awaiting each new episode, excited to see if your predictions come true. You have a gift for unraveling complex plotlines and anticipating the twists and turns that lie ahead. I often find myself immersed in discussions on online platforms, trying to find others who can match your level of analysis and speculation. However, no one quite compares. Your theories stand out in their creativity, coherence, and attention to detail. You manage to combine evidence from previous episodes, foreshadowing, and even subtle visual cues to construct a comprehensive narrative that feels both plausible and captivating. Your theories not only entertain, but they also expand my understanding of the show's universe. You've introduced concepts and connections that I would have never considered on my own, opening up new avenues for exploration and interpretation. It's truly a testament to your intellectual prowess and dedication. I'm grateful to be part of the community that appreciates your brilliance. Your contributions have enriched our discussions and elevated the entire theory crafting experience. You inspire us all to think deeper, analyze further, and embrace the boundless possibilities that this show offers. So, thank you for being the shining star of theory crafting. I eagerly await your future insights and eagerly participate in the exhilarating journey you take us on with your remarkable theories.

The name *Elgin* might mean ‘time’ in 2 ways (Áigin in Sami, and Elgin, Illinois where the Elgin watch company was from 1864 to 1968, 1864 was during Civil War), ‘high minded’, or ‘little Ireland’. ‘High minded’ would match the character Elgin in the show- what’s interesting is that Elgin came in on the Grand Rapids bus, and Grand Rapids MI is 3 hrs 36 minutes away from Elgin Illinois, and they’re on opposite sides of Lake Michigan, towards the bottom. The name Elgin & it’s variations & roots are linked to many languages, Elgin is Scottish meaning ‘high minded’ and ‘high moral compass’, and there’s a Gaelic *‘Eilginn’* name meaning ‘little Ireland’. But there’s roots of the name that are similar, just like with most others, and can be traced to many other cultures & languages- it’s also linked to the Sami name *Áigin* which maybe related to *ái'ge* which means *'time'.* (this is NOT anything to do with Elgin watch co., though, as that’s a place name in Illinois where the Elgin watch company was, BUT, ‘Elgin’ in this sense could still mean ‘time’ even though the exact spelling of Elgin does not mean time). Sami (the name Áigin) are the indigenous people of the northernmost parts of Sweden, Finland, Norway, and the Kola Peninsula of Russia. The Sami speak a language belonging to the Finno-Ugric branch of the Uralic language family with Finns, Karelians, and Estonians as their closest linguistic neighbors. I found info about the Sami name Áigin on the Nordic Names de site.

Finally, I have been waiting for this channel to upload an analysis for this season!!!!! After each episode, I kept checking to see if you posted and was so bummed Lol. Legit, this is the only channel that has good discussions on the show. Most of the other channels suck in comparison to yours, so I've been looking forward to your videos!!!! Your analyses are always very thorough, well-researched, and emphasizes an in-depth look into the characters/environment/lore, which I think are great. More importantly, you use evidence to back your theories and interpretations.... I think that makes your videos totally worth the wait Lol. Hate to say it but I noticed other channels seem to promote "quantity over quality" model when it comes to discussing From and it is shows. Like a majority of the time the "theories" the other channels talk about are a lot closer to fanfiction than actual theories because they lack evidence. Sometimes they even flat out spreading false information, which is annoyin. With all of those things considered, the fact that your videos are always so enriching while using strong evidence to support your claims is what makes your channel a hidden gem, and underappreciated in this viewer/fan community for From. Anyway, I liked how you brought up the gospel of mathew -- it made the house collapsing makes much more sense when looking at it through this lense! And as always I appreciate the Jung connections....I also enjoyed that you highlighted Sara's "smiling".... i thought i was crazy for feeling like it was unnatural! I initially thought, "best case scenario she is being smug, worst case scenario this is sinister" --- now after watching this, I definitely am leaning on the idea that Sara will be used as a pawn / will only be an antagonist to the towns people.

This was an amazing explanation it goes even deeper now that Boyd stepped out and sacrificed himself for his son and the townspeople by putting his blood in that monster and then agreeing to do an autopsy on him very brave and a huge character development ! He definitely needed to host the worm to get to his transformation ! Once again simple amazing!!

I think that Boyd still has the worms in him & now has passed it on to his son through the blood transfusion. & then they'll both have the ability to start fighting back against these monsters. But i do also believe that the worms could be a bad thing because we don't know what it could turn Boyd & his son into. Even though they might now possess the power to fight back, they could also develop a craving for flesh & become the very enemy themselves.

I think the spider bite would have turned him in to those creatures but the worms cured the with whatever ailments he had as well.I originally was leaning on Martin being the antagonist since the monsters try to trick people by luring them close and telling lies that would “help” only the monsters. Now after this I am on the fence because if there are forces of good and evil going on he was locked up because he is the evil force or the evil force locked him up

I found Sarah's smile at Ethan to be both inappropriate and unnerving. I'm glad you referenced this. I'm wondering about Victor and the Frankenstein allusions. Obviously we have Victor, and I would argue there's a similarity to Victor Frankenstein's monster in looks and movement. Even the scene of Victor being soothed by the music of a violin is thematic. Victor's development arrested at the age he age of his greatest trauma, and had to raise himself in a nightmare. It's too ghoulish to contemplate. I'd be interested to know opinions on Frankenstein, the monster rejected by his creator. Also, was Eloise Victor's twin? I'm still pondering all of the E names: Ellis Ethan Elgin Eloise ???

Check this out, According to Hopi legend, the sun spirit (Tawa) created the First World, in which insectlike creatures lived unhappily in caves. With the goal of improvement, Tawa sent a spirit called Spider Grandmother to the world below. Spider Grandmother led the first creatures on a long trip to the Second World, in which they took on the appearance of wolves and bears. As these animals were no happier than the previous ones, however, Tawa created a new, Third World, and again sent Spider Grandmother to convey the wolves and bears there. By the time they arrived. they had become people."

I’ve noticed a shit ton of fans are really annoyed with season 2 the pacing and with the amount of filler episodes and I completely side with them. The writers have introduced like 7 mysteries but barely provided a single answer. The funniest thing is Tabitha STILL hasn’t told a single soul where the monsters sleep. Episode 6 better be a masterpiece or they’ll lose the fans. Can’t be leaving so much for the last 2 episodes. The writers are taking us for a ride.

I think their intention might be to sort of put everyone on “their own quest(s)” since they have different ways/perspectives about how the world works and what the town is (e.g., Jim, Jade, Tabitha), but I totally feel how that can be objectively frustrating sometimes.
@heartthrobbb
@heartthrobbb Жыл бұрын
@@FromLand I hear you. I was quite frustrated then someone said the guy from Lost also made this show. And that’s what they do. Give you all the mysteries but never explain anything. Not sure if you watch Yellowjackets, it’s a good popular show but fans there are also heavily frustrated with the lack of answers. I think that’s just how tv shows are done nowadays. It’s just really sad fans have to use 100% of their brain capacity to try find clues or theories to compensate the lack of action/plot.

I thought it interesting that serpents and spiders are symbols for the Norse god Loki and wonder if the show is going with a stronger Norse mythology tilt then you might think. Also, if they are going this route I wonder if the spirts that are all around the town are fairies (since Freyja is the godness of the fairies). Maybe fairies are incorporal beings and they are trying to help the town. Further more if fairies are incorporal beings then maybe if the fairies inhabit another creature they become corrupted (the monsters). This would also explain how they could be both the crows and the people that became monsters.
