The backwards 2 and 7 can only be explained through music. When reading music you come across a backwards 2 and 7. It also explains why some numbers (or music notes) repeat. Henry’s mom wrote music notes for her future soul to remember and play the music to free the children and people of Fromville. Tabitha or Jade will have to play the notes on the violin.

The tapestry has long been a source of puzzlement for me in this series. I try to put it out there but everyone's so caught up in their own theories they never even remotely consider this clue that's been there the entire time. It's astonishing to me somebody will see the wrecked car in the pool appears to have changed positions and make up a ridiculously convoluted time travel theory about it and absolutely ignore repeated patterns of things that point to things like wrecks bring them to Fromville when they're unconscious. Victor's story playing out in his drawings along with what appear to be maps. That brings me to the tapestry. Seems the only thing anyone bothers to consider or find interesting about the tapestry is Fatima's boobs, the two naked people. Nobody points out the two roads are tire tread patterns, like what you find in the road right before the wreck. The show itself literally throws an arrow right to this zoomed in segment with Fatima's boobs in the foreground and the tire tread roads front and center alongside it. When Julie chose CH, in S1 E4, Fatima and Ellis gift her the bed with the tapestry hanging prominently over it on the wall. The whole tapestry is visible. Nobody, not a single solitary person in this entire show mentions the tapestry, loud and disturbing as it is...but it is heavily implied Ellis did this also, bt the problem is it's not Ellis' style at all. I questioned why Ellis would paint anything in Victor's style. I also questioned whether Victor painted it and gifted it to Ellis and Fatima....and they hung it there and basically passed it off to Julie being in her space. The more I looked at it though, after Tabitha meets Henry, the tapestry is not Victor's style. IT'S MIRANDA'S and that suggests Miranda painted this tapestry. Victor keeps drawing maps. Pieces of them. If Miranda is the original painter of the tapestry, it makes sense none of them know where it came from but it's interesting art so they kept it and hung it up. That also suggests it'll make a come back in upcoming episodes for one reason. The SHOW uses a segment of the tapestry in the very INTRO.....all Victor's drawings and then it jumps to Ellis' art, then the zoomed in segment of the tapestry. That means it's relevant. And it's a big old clue, especially if Mirande is the one who painted it. Go back and look at the style and compare to the stuff in Henry's basement. It's less like Victor and more Miranda...

I always wondered about that painting! It's definitely more aligned with Miranda's style. It looks like the one's in Henry's basement. Victor's drawings are drawings! With crayons and they're very child like. Ellis art is more "professional" than Miranda's and definitely nothing like Victor's. Also, if I remember correctly, Ellis dies the charcoal drawings, not paintings and not childrens crayon drawings. I always thought it was a really strange painting too!

This finally gives me something to play with. We all know the boy in white is relevant. That tapestry has to be just as relevant. Did Miranda stay at CH while there or the town? I am suspecting CH was where they were since Victor lives there and has for awhile. Makes me want to go back through and binge the whole series up to now and look for all the Miranda type paintings in CH. I know Victor's tell a story or stories. If they're both painting what they see to remember, then the drawings they show us are all significant. That's the map. ETA OHH...Okay so if we speculate Mirand and Victor occupied Colony House after the town massacre, which would be logical, and Miranda painted the tapestry, perhaps she's the one who put it there, it was always there...and Ellis only gifted Julie the curtains for privacy. That makes me question whether Fatima & Ellis' room were occupied by Miranda first and Miranda & her paintings are intrinsically tied to the part Fatima is experiencing what she's experiencing and isn't pregnant. There's that big old fire breathing monster and two clawed hands in that scene..... IF ANYBODY SAYS THE SMOKE MONSTER I'M DONE lol

I like the theory about two dimentions but I would like to propose other one. Whatever created the town created the pregnancy. There are cables no wires but there is electricity. So that tells us that whatever created houses is a child or not human - only with surface understanding of our world. That is why there is a sigh and a pool but not a motel. So there is a pregnancy, there are cravings and probably later on - bigger belly but no visible embrio on ultrasound - whatever is responsible just do not know about stuff like biology.

Maybe the numbers in the bottles are the codes for song titles, on the jukeboxes in the diner? It seems clear at this point, the songs that suddenly start playing on the jukebox, are not random- they're played at specific times, in the presence of specific people, seemingly for a reason. Whether that reason is just to f with the residents, or to simply find a way to communicate with them, remains to be seen. Either way, it seems very likely that the bottles/ numbers & the jukebox songs(or song titles?) that are selected /played for certain people, are both being used as some form of communication between groups..

I was thinking the bottle with the written numbers on paper is a copy of the original. Like Miranda copied the one from the park. Does anyone else feel like Randal, Julie, and Mariel all lived an alternate life while in the coma? I think the people in (from) could be trapped in a game. A contest between humanity and eldritch horrors in the style of H.P Lovecraft though with a new twist. The obsession the first two episodes have with Kennies dad playing chess, feels like a big hint. I imagine the victims are in an arena, and it is placed near Camden Maine. The light houses signal light has several broken lenses when Tabatha is there you can clearly see it. Maybe the broken lenses will each represent one loss for humanity. (Meaning all the contestants have been wiped-out, which is the opposition's goal. Giving the Eldrich horrors a victory point towards winning control of our reality. Meanwhile HUMANITY can score points towards a victory by achieving or fulfilling certain conditions. The Civil war soldier could be a clue pointing towards this being a war fought in a more civilized manner, where two side agree on rules and a playing field. Then compete for control of the real world. Also, the American civil war was fought with both side agreeing to line up and shoot each other as gentlemen and the battle tactics were similar to a chess game. I predict that the cicada will be a foreshadowing of famine, which will force the contestants through the bottle tree. Which they all know is a coin toss, but better then starving.

Somehow, that explanation at 41:38 seems like it can be used for the town if it was a spiritual place (in a dimensional bubble in between place) that people did pilgrimages to and that it got fed up with the people and became bad because people started taking and "moving things about" like bad guests so eventually it set up guardians (evil creature in the town, the other evil creatures might be other spiritual beings from the land, but outside town, and not related to the entity in town) because it was tired of hosting destructive/disrespectful guests. Maybe like a Native American sacred ground and colonists/pilgrims defiling the land kind of theme. It's capable of good like enhanced healing, giving them fresh livestock, etc but the bad actions of people (and maybe their thoughts?) made it so it's actually read their hopes and granting nightmares instead.

The fact that Tabitha described her dreams as nightmares, tells me something in her dreams scared her. I do not believe she would be frightened by her mother in her dreams unless she’s repressing something traumatic about her mother. My guess is that this is some kind of Deja vu, or that she’s actually been there before.

Victor found Miranda's body so she didn't make it out. He never found his sister's body. Henry told Tabitha that Miranda said that she was chosen to save the children and that many people were chosen before her! Now in the present, Tabitha is the chosen one! So, apparently, this process repeats over and over again over generations. Every time a chosen "savior" fails to save the children, a new one is chosen! So maybe a chosen one prior to Miranda was pushed out of the window of the lighthouse. I did wonder about the broken windows too.

The pictures in the cave show a group of white stick-figure people coming in 3 boats. Then the white stick figure people sacrifice the 7 kids in a ritual. Some big red entity is unleashed. Then the people celebrate around a harvest, but they’ve turned red instead of white. So i think there were foreigners (vikings?) that turned into the monsters as a curse after sacrificing the kids in some ritual to get food from the land. I think all the people in fromville are somehow linked to those original people-probably by lineage & they have not been able to break the curse that’s following their bloodlines or something

I think the numbers have a double meaning. One for the show to progress the plot and another meaning for fans to connect the dots. Jade says Something is telling him this is the answer and some numbers are repeating. 1864 and 2659 have important meanings in astrology. They are called Angel Numbers. 1864 means you need inner guidance. 2659 means you're on the right path, and the spirit realm is guiding you. One message was for Boyd, who needed inner guidance with his Priest. The other one was to show Jade and Tabitha are on the right path and someone is guiding them. For the show, the numbers probably relate to the rift and the fact they are in a pocket universe, another world. In mythology you always have this motif of two worlds, or one world coming from the other.

I don't think everyone had hope for a new life. They all seemed to be going through a stressful and even traumatizing time in their life. The Matthews lost a child and were facing divorce. Father Kahtri had beaten a Parrish member who had abused his son. Kenny had just been driving around with his mother looking for his demented father who had wandered off in the middle of the night. The woman whose son was sick and dying, had taken a trip to get him a toy car because she wanted his last days on earth to be happy. Mariel had been on her way to a rehab for drug addiction. Now, not everyone was necessarily going through something traumatic or stressful, but there are also people who had dreams about the pkace like Miranda, Tabitha, and even Elgin! Tilly said her tarot cards told her about that place before she arrived there. Boyd's wife had dreams about that place when she was a kid. Everyone there is there because the pkace or the being controlling the place chose them or was drawing them in.

To piggy back on the thoery for the sacrifice. Could be that the children/adults were the ones who come into this new place with ships. And found that there were creatures living here, so they did the whole scarification thing to get power to fight off the monsters but ended up becoming monsters . And maybe what we see in the town is the result of that, and in the new location ( where kenny and Jade went), now has the OG monsters.

My mind has been working overtime with this show. I dreamed the original settlers wanted to be immortal so they did a ritual sacrifice with the children. This created a pocket universe and turned all the people in the town into trees which almost live forever. They draw people to them, hoping to be released. There was no real explanation of the monsters other than they were previous residents. I am only sharing this because I thought it was interesting, not that I think it is the answer. Wait, I am dreaming about Fromville like Tabitha! Have I been chosen?! 😵‍💫

No. I think they just let him slide sometimes because for so long, he just accepted his life there. Remember he told Jade that "this is my home!" When Jade was trying to get answers out of him about the symbol. Jade said, "Don't u want to go home?" Victor said no! That's his home! He understands how everything works there and what will make the place "angry" and he avoided getting it angry. He basically played by the rules for 40 years! So I think they kind of let him be until now. Now he is trying to find answers and they don't like that.

The ancooey children and that village with the weird voodoo scarecrow things all remind me of some weird occult stuff. The man Jade saw drinking blood from a skull and the ancooey children laying on slabs of stone, looking sick and pale, it all seems like the people in that village were doing some strange occult stuff and they caused some kind of curse.

Yea. I think its a curse too. The monsters are the people who turned after they did the original sacrifice of the kids. I think everyone that gets stuck in fromville is related by lineage to those original people somehow. They’re cursed to turn and eat their own for sacrificing the kids in a ritual for crop fertility.

Do you think the herbs in the book Ethan was looking in, will come into play to try to save whoever gets hurt in the next episode? The synopsis of ep 7-10 make it seem like someone either dies or is hurt. Then it says something about someone Boyd loves. Maybe they think they can cure Fatima, and Ellis runs off to find the herbs etc, and gets hurt.. I have no idea, just trying to fit in the book Ethan was reading. Edit: it also mentioned someone being lost, that could be Ellis after he takes off looking for a cure.

it is fascinating because you can’t find any explanation to what is going on in from it doesn’t make sense in a good sense this place is material, people move there with their bodies and their cars monsters are real yet there is a kind of magic with the stones electric cables connect to nothing yet there is electricity people have ghost-like hallucinations yet there is some purpose behind it all it’s not man-made, it is not alien-made, it is not a spirit world, it is not a haunted place, it is not some limbo or purgatory it is unlike any movie or tv trope one of the best tv shows ever

I definitely think there is some occult connections. The talismans look like some native American or even older more ancient civilization made them. The weird voodoo doll scarecrow things in the village by the lake are some kind of occult thing, and Jade saw that man drinking blood from a human skull in that village. Jade saw the anchooey children laid out of slabs of stone, saying that word, in a trance staring at the symbol above them. It's all giving occult, witchcraft, voodoo, etc.

Omg that is exactly how I feel. There is a lot of occult stuff going on. The weird voodoo scarecrow things in the village by the lake, the children laying on stone slabs chanting anchooey and staring at that symbol, the guy Jade saw drinking blood from a skull! Something happened there long ago. The adults were into some weird witchcraft or voodoo or something. There time period looks to be around the 1700's to the 1800's based on their clothing and the village! It looks like an early settlement. The guy drinking the blood was dressed exactly like the brother on hocus pocus! 😂 the brother whose sister was killed by the Sanderson sisters in the late 1690's. So the village is probably closer to the 1700's than the 1800's. People back then believed in all types of crazy shit! 😂
