Raising the 16 ft High Wall in the Barndominium.

Between the two bedroom lofts is open all the way up to the 16 ft ceiling to help make the small space feel bigger. This of course, requires a giant super heavy wall to be built out of 16 ft - 2 x 6's for the wall that separates the living space from the shop side. Watch as the three of us try to conquer this wall and how it almost conquers us.

Really enjoyed this. She's a doll. She will appreciate her loft so much more because she helped build it. When her girlfriends come over to see it, they'll be like, "no way"!... then she can show them the video. 😂😂 Fantastic raising! The struggle to place the two walls could have been avoided by cutting an additional inch shorter and then use truss slip connectors to fasten to truss. you should have a 1" gap anyway as the bottom chord of those trusses will flex and move up and down. Everything else is looking good

@@larryatwell9734 That is so not true. If that were the case there would be no point in interior load bearing walls on the upper floor, it is also the weight from above that holds the line and plumb on the walls.
