We are getting the rain now in Buck Creek, Indiana. There are chickens that run around our town that were soaking wet. I’m trying to catch them to take to my friends farm. So far I’ve caught the young turkey and 1 chicken 6 more to go❤️

Vickie here. "The clean up crew" 😂 Lester said they really helped with the clean up in their pasture. He will need to clean up sticks that blew down, but every leaf looks like it is gone. They decided to forage storm or not. Dan was kicking up his heels and munching away on the leaves. ❤

It is a beautiful thing to see the solution to the water coming down the hill is working! No more waterfalls & worry about losing the pond! I love that Peggy pig is babysitting the baby goats. The eye can be a quiet time in a hurricane. We used to go outside & check what was going on if it was calm but go back inside before the second round of the hurricane. A lot depends on how strong the hurricane is, During Cat 4 or 5 hurricanes we did not go outside. I went thru strong ones where the wind actually sounded like someone moaning & it was eerie & haunting. Of course, it always seemed to be at night when the worst happened. I hope everything stayed fairly intact.

Hi Jami, I’m so glad that everyone made it through safely, any of those trees could have fallen at any time. Donkey Dan needed some of those beautiful green leaves and the rain was probably great relief from the heat. Yay for the spillway! It worked and all the rain is exactly what the sod and seeding needed to get established. The tater chips on top of Peggy Pig was absolutely adorable and Roxy coming on hard to check on them was sweet. Yes there’s lots of cleanup but everyone is safe and that’s what’s important. Thank you for taking the time to show us what it was like and that all was ok.❤️❤️

My father had sever Parkinson's and i was staying with him one night the tornado sirens started going off. I went back to his bedroom there he is in his tidy whities standing in front of the tv and looks at me points his arms in a crooked superman pose and says we will leap to safety all my mind could do was laugh and say to him not naked little man. It is one of the most funniest memories but also scary and best. Have a good one and may your days be blessed stay safe Jami

Hi Jami oh that was so cute Peggy Pig letting the babies have a safe place on her back, I live in East Central Alabama in 1995, or 96 there was hurricane Opal can't remember where she came in I believe Mobil Alabama the winds were so strong they covered most of the state during the night we had 3 huge trees fell around our home thank our Heavenly Father no damage to the home my kid's were terrified so was I you could hear the trees hit the ground it was unbelievable one I will never forget, so happy yall and animal's are fine, continued prayers hugs and love always

I'm so relieved you guys didn't take any more damage from those winds and so far, no major flooding. Beryl moved through here in West central Illinois yesterday with some much needed steady rain and no real wind to speak of - thank goodness. Ima Jean might have had a talk with the babies and told them to look for someone taller and climb up on top of them - just like Meg used to do with her. That's so sweet to see these two on Peggy Pig and Tiny Tim. I'm definitely glad for you all that this was a fast moving hurricane that didn't do too much (structural) damage on all three properties - well, except for Steph and Buddy's home, noone was hit by any falling limbs, and that the spillway worked out the way it was intended too - finally!
