Hi Coarseaddict, the pole we are using in this video is the Daiwa Conniseur G20, It sells for around £1200, and as you'd expect for that price it is an amazing piece of kit! Hope this helps!

@FromTheWatersEdgeTV12 жыл бұрын
ok Coarseaddict, I mean the G20 is at the extreme end of the scale, but with the amount Steve fishes and the matches he fishes in etc he likes to have a nice pole. To be fair though if your budget is around £150-220 you can get some really nice Poles for that. As technology has increased poles have become alot better for less money. I would take a look at the Daiwa SR range of poles, they are all brilliant value for money :-) Have a look in your local tackle shop and get a feel for them.

Hi Jack, we either use Preston elastic or Daiwa hydrolastic! Hope that helps. :-)

Thanks Adrian! I know what you mean, I suppose everyone is entitled to there opinion though! The thing is we never say our way is the only way to do it, its just an opinion, which we share in video's! Thanks for the support, tight lines :-)

Hmmmm thats a very good question! I'm not 100% sure, I will ask Widget and see if he has any thoughts on it. My only one would be, perhaps its cos the bigger fish are clever, older, wiser and use less energy mooching round the margins picking up anglers freebies that have been thrown in at the end of the day/match? If anyone else has any idea's then would be good to hear! :-)
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV11 жыл бұрын
Haha, yeah it does mate! Steve gets loads of comments about it, I keep telling him he needs a new one, but he says its his lucky hat! He cant fish without it! haha!

yes g20 at 11 and 13 m as good as anything,14.5 ok with short 4,16 unless conditions are perfect no wind and with a front rest its fishable just with match kit on ,there very strong poles though and overall good value for money.

Could I use the flavour shaker on its own without using the liquid?
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV7 жыл бұрын
You could do mate, no worries. The liquid just helps the shaker stick to the bait. You can use the shaker for a multitude of things tho really, sprinkling in your ground bait, mixing in with your maggots etc. Hope that helps

Hi mate, yeah I'm sure it will. If it's 9.5m in length, it's quite possible you have a margin pole? Designed for this sort of fishing.

The challenge is to go to newlands A\C and catch a carp of 10IB WHILST USING SWEETCORN on the pole on surmans lake with silverfish elastic if you are up for the challenge take it on and message me ... PS. no ground bait is to be used only sweet corn can be used this will show youngsters (like me) to catch decent size carp on stuff you can find in the cupboard. sincerly H

@timwood67156 жыл бұрын
I find the fact he just throws his pole on the floor and you can hear it banging on the peg rather frustrating.
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV6 жыл бұрын
Did he Tim? Can't say I noticed or remembered that... (altho this video was filmed years ago now!)
@CB-xr1eg6 жыл бұрын
He didn't throw it, he lowered it. Might have been better with a pole sock but no harm done and not worth getting frustrated about. Take a chill pill or go fishing and chill out!
