Vintage dragsters kick ass, specially when they are made with the same old style tools that were in use during their hayday. No fancy CNC stuff here, just real true talent, artistic like craftsmanship,and banged up knuckles. This car is the real deal!! Nice job Jacin!!

jaded, I can't encourage you enough to persue your FED project!!! I built mine at home and not only learned a ton , but also met some really cool people along the way. This was my first project of this level (drving & building) so I took things slow - the motor is nearly bone stock sans the injector and was running 9.30's with it. Not a barnstormer by any means, but pretty good for stock valves and junk cast pistons. I have the motor apart right now for some minor improvements...

I've got a 9.27 second door car, it's amazing how much effort goes into building a drag car. Obviouly my car would be considered slow compared to to that but I mention it becase I know how much goes into these things. They don't on gas, they run on dollars.

Thanks!!! Yes I made the body too. It was my first attempt at anything like this - the "Metalshapers" group was a big help in giving me direction.

continuted, build a front engine car. another tig will come along, I'll learn to use it and the result will be a fed, early hemi would be awesome but are getting hard to find. especially the 392s with 354 heads. Being all mopar might have to settle for a stroked out small block. Nothing cooler than a fed. I hope you're enjoying it. If you get back here and read this post some more info, times, issues etc

It’s extremely hard to not drop the blower on right now, but I want to do a little better on the stacks first. BTW those are Hilborn’s - not sure how old. If all goes well I will get this motor together soon and can start working on the blower motor as well - still collecting parts and saving my pennies….

hmmm, looks like I'm the only one commenting on this car LOL...Hope the owner comes back from time to time to see the messages. I just love the front engine dragsters, I bought a beautiful tig machine a few years ago, miller 250 I think, got it cheap and it was a college training unit, talk about low hours! had surgery that year, and moved to texas before I was able to teach myself how to use it. didn't have the space and had to get rid of it. Now I hate texas and am going back. somehow Ill buil
