You inspired me to tackle a hole in my wall. I already cut out the drywall. Tomorrow going to put a back plate to keep the piece I’ve cut to fit in place from falling in the open space and then put the Sheetrock in place. Then have fun doing tape and putty.

Did you check to see if they are supporting walls? Also the plywood joints should not line up
