Thanks for the great variations Tim. I was just walking forward, putting it down, turning around, picking it up, and walking back again. I seriously lack imagination 😂. Definitely will implement these in my loaded carries for my habitual strength session tomorrow. Would walking in a circle be another good one?

hanks! I am 14 weeks post full labrum repair on right shoulder. I am back to crawling backwards again and even getting into elevated position comfortably. I am due to get the left shoulder repaired June 23, the same procedure. I needed these repairs since 2014 so it is necessary for the stability to get back to climbing. My question is what do you think of doing these loaded carries with my repaired arm holding objects in tight, as well as rocking with my repaired arm keeping my hand close to my center line. I want to keep being strong.

Michael Dooley Are you saying doing them with only one arm, while the other arm heals? I think that would be fine. HOWEVER, always explore cautiously and NEVER move into pain. And start too light. It's easy to increase load if too light. That is a great way to cautiously explore. Keep me posted on your progress and heal fast!

Andrew Crause Those bags are DVRT bags. If you do other carries with them, like over the shoulder, they are not the most "friendly" bags. The handles will dig into you. They do make you focus on where and how you hold the bag, however....
