Thank you! Our Frigidaire front loader left the clothes soaked after the final spin. Your directions were clear and easy to follow, and I fixed it myself in about 45 minutes. Putting the hose clamps on was a little tough, but hey, no expense, just a little time. Thank you sooooo much for this video.

Thank you for all the details explaining each step and the clear quality video. Also, appreciate the explanation of how you diagnosed the issue and the correct repair. I watched another video stating it was a faulty door lock. I changed my door lock and the washer still did not spin. After seeing your video I knew this was the issue. I did not have time to repair it myself, but you saved me from getting gouged by the appliance repair company! I was an informed consumer! Thank you

Great video! Best video. All the others showed removing the top and front panels, even the rear panel. Entirely unnecessary. This is the best video. Do this one! Remind me, next time I buy a damn washer to buy a model with the front access panel at the bottom to these common drain fixes! Many have them. Lol. Makes this a 60 minute job rather than 4 hours, and ya don't have to move it anywhere. Even if it costs $150 more it would be worth every penny! Ours lasted 8 years before getting clogged. When the kids started doing laundry on their own in the last 2-3 years, that's when it got clogged of course. Kids are HiGh Maintenance!!! Lol

Thank you! Our Frigidaire front loader stopped spinning out and draining a few days ago. I came across this tutorial, shared it with my s/o, and we tackled it today. It was indeed clogged, but not with a ton of dirt and debris - there were two reusable cloth masks; one was in the hose and one was in the trap! Saved us a bunch of money that would’ve gone toward a repair service or replacement.

After hours of frustration and replacing the drain pump, I found your video. I did just as you showed and holy cow, that drain basket was a big plug. After cleaning that out I put the old pump back on and everything works fine. I will be returning the new pump in the morning. Thank you for saving me $100 bucks on the new pump and who knows how much on a new washer.

Wow. You just saved me big $$$. I followed your instructions exactly when my washer suddenly stopped filling with water and not working. I looked into all of the reasons that it might not be working first, checked out the washer manual, and then found your video. If anyone reads this, I am a middle aged woman who had to flip the washer on its' back,(no front panel, of course) to access the drain. Not fun, but it is not ridiculously heavy, so it was doable with care. Getting it back up was a little more challenging. Ladies, you can do this! By being slow and patient with the instructions, I loosened the clamp, wiggled the trap out, which was jammed full. My trap was chock full of rubber pieces from a floor mat that I had put in the washer! I cleaned it out, (trash barrel and washed it in the sink) worked the trap back in as instructed, and then ran a sanitizing cycle and then a delicate cycle to make sure everything was working and draining. Seems to have done the trick. Thank you so much for this excellent video and your spot on instructions! Yay! Lesson: Washers are not indestructible. Never again will I wash one of those mats in it!

Thank you for a quick video that helped to resolve our issue. We had the E20 error and an appliance tech did a diagnostic and said it was the drain pump motor and it would cost $455. We did it ourselves with your video. A rag similar to yours was found, no money was found.. It took us longer to clean out the pea trap/accordian part was full of debris/dirt from rugs. Getting it all back together was challenging and took a long time. We used worm clamps instead of the included ones and that helped a lot as the green ones were tough to access, get off and put back on. We also used a bit of oil on the tubes to get them on tight with the new clamps. We saved money $ and I let the appliance repair company know the motor was never the issue. Shame on them. Just did two loads of towels from cleaning up and drainage. Worked great.

Thank you! Twenty minute job. Well made video - quick, concise, clear. My symptoms: Stopped in the middle of a cycle and water would not drain. I could start a new cycle, but no water drained or was added; the drum would spin for 20 seconds and stop. In a few minutes all the front lights would simply go out. Nice job! I'd done this cleanout on our previous frigidaire front loader that had a lower front access panel. That one had almost $10 in change in the trap. With the exception of the added "debris catcher", this pump looks very similar to the pump on the earlier model. C.L.S. Allinone thank you. You wouldn't believe how many hours I was messing with that ring clamp. The washer was given to me used & some screws were stripped out so I couldn't take off the housing to get to the pump. I had to work through the opening on the bottom. Which made it nearly impossible to put the clamp back on. Was even hard with a hose clamp. Such a hassle but I got it. I'm washing my first load now to see if all is well. Thank you a bunch 👐

Vacuum out the tub and drain hose with a shop vac. That removes about 3/4 gallon or more of water. Then pull washer out about 2 feet, tilt it back against wall, stuff a large towel in the bottom-back and under the boot area and access coin catch boot by removing only the largest top retention ring. Fixed with clean-up in an hour and much easier. Usually the pump is not the issue. Tip: don't fill the washer with small items and large items, and don't stuff the small items to max either. The large items or overfilled washer tub will work small things like panties and small socks thru to the coin catch. That's what was in mine, clogging it...panties and a bikini top pad lol.

Thank you for such a clear tutorial! Unfortunately this is the SECOND time I've had to do this procedure in just six months time, and I don't have the easy access panel. Any tips/tricks for getting the trap all the way back to the rectangular section of the boot? It took me well over an hour to maneuver it out. Btw, it wasn't as full as yours, but there was a stack of 8 coins that were fused together with concrete, or the repeatedly soaked and half dried cat litter of the women who rented my apartment before I moved in. I bruised my right forearm trying to get that backwards clamp off with vise grips. No luck. I'm taking a break, and will try again tomorrow. I thought getting the trap out was difficult! I will definitely try this. But I am a bit confused. Why will the washer suddenly spin faster if the trap is clean? My washer spins a little bit, but does not get up to full speed.
@D.I.Y._All-in-One7 жыл бұрын
because the washer is full of water and the load is heavier so it is unable to spin fast until more water drains out.

C.L.S Allinone, When running my normal, bulky, or other cycles on my washing machine it works until the final spin. The machine does not complete its cycle, it stops before rinse and spin, I have to shut it off and manually put it on rinse and spin to dry the clothes. Since the machine is in fact able to do the final spin, do you think it is a matter of a clogged filter/pump/hose, or maybe something electrical? your advice will be greatly appreciated.
