UPDATE: I got error code P3497 a few days later. I ended up buying the whole assembly from Honda (15810-R70-A04) and instantly fixed the code. I have been running for a week now with no issues. Check the video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2GsqnSQeMtlrbs

Honda sells the both gaskets without purchasing the whole spool vvt assembly?

@@tyronebryant9147 NO. That is the problem here. I tried replacing just the gaskets and it will eventually fail again very quickly. Save yourself time and a lot of grief and buy the whole original Honda assembly. They don’t sell just the gaskets. I have the same issue is leaking oil should i just change the gasket

@@tonamplo60 I tried replacing the gasket with an aftermarket and it worked for a while and then failed again. If it leaks too much it will fry the alternator and it will cost you another $400. Trust me on this one. Bite the bullet and replace the whole assembly with a Honda one (15810-R70-A04). It instantly fixed all the codes and didn’t have any issues since then. @@JuanMendoza-fk5se if you are still leaking at the same place after replacing it with a Honda part boost likely is the torque you applied to those three bolts. It sido be around 7 foot pounds if I remember right
