The Frontera is getting a little well deserved attention.
Not trying to do a full restoration or anything like that, and i'm not a pro when it comes to paint, but since the car is 30 years old, and its driven all year round, its always a good idea to take care of corrosion and rust while its still not too bad. And remarkably its not too bad 😃
I mainly focused of getting rid of the rust and corrosion, and sealing up everything i could. Now its ready for another 2-3 winters, and its looking decent compared to how it was before. Hopefully it survives a few more years this way, despite the life it had.
And no, its still not rust free, that is impossible on a 30 year old "workhorse", but i certainly won some time 😃
I intentionally left the bent and damaged parts (hood, front left quarterpanel, rusty windscreen wipers, and so on) as they were, because they add to the character and history of the car. Its tough, and its meant to be tough, and i have NO intention of fixing these "beauty scars". All the bends should stay where they were, even if under a new coat of paint👌 this car will never be perfect, and thats fine for me
