I really like doing extreme frontline logistics; smuggling. It's so nerve-wrecking navigating a supply truck (or a motorcycle if impossible to do a truck run) through enemy territory. Scouting for watchtowers, climbing over defences with a vehicle, taking impossible routes. Even carrying the supplies in my inventory at a crawling speed if I have to. Makes my heart pump bloody fast.

Another tip for aspiring frontline delivery pros: While your regular truck can fit 15 crates of supplies, you can always carry 1 crate in your own personal inventory as well, making it so that you can actually deliver 16 crates with 1 delivery trip! This definitely adds up over time :D Great vid!

There was one time me and 2 other medics are yelling "DONT TAKE BANDAGES AND SCAVENGE IT BACK FROM THE FRONT!" for 2 hours because we weren't supplied since forever and shirts are dwindling, bandages are scarce and colonials are relentlessly pounding the townhall (It was early war, so they only have armored car, fortunately). Then suddenly, a honk from heaven can be heard from the supposedly cut-off backline followed by a loud cheer from everyone there. A single logi dude blockade-run the supplies for us and we were then shortly after, relieved, and push back the 3 hours long assault. Respect from medic to all logi out there, both blue and green. (I also made medical supplies myself)

The biggest tip I have is: when in doubt, ask (talk/type or both). Simply communicating in this game gets you 110% of the way there. I also have tips for new and low-ranked players to avoid getting into unpleasant conversations from teammates. These behaviors should be avoided, especially when new or low ranked, because it'll attract the wrong kind of attention from your teammates: A) Do not pull shirts out of bunker bases, town halls, etc. On top of taking forever to pull, it is harmful to the war effort. Instead, pull crates from seaports and depots. (Yes, Robert sometimes does this in his other videos, but I strongly do NOT recommend this if you are low ranked; consider it an "advanced technique") B) Need a ride, and you see a truck or vehicle on a crane? Leave it alone, follow Robert's advice instead: pull a truck from a depot/seaport stockpile or build your own. C) Need a ride, and found a fire truck? Please leave it alone, using it as a taxi greatly harms the front.

Hard agree! Love it! This is something I tell new players all the time as well. Love these other tips as well! I love front-line logistics. Some of the most memorable moments are when, after long hours of production: I drive tanks into the surrounded city by water, bypassing the enemy patrol; I break through the outposts of the greens in a fortified truck; I drive through the fields, bypassing the partisans; I organize a coravan with the cover of armored vehicles. Yes, this does not always happen, more often you just take bandages to the frontline base, but the words of gratitude of dozens of fighters are priceless.

Excellent vid Robert 👍Some more tips I usually give to the people riding along my logi runs: + Your cargo is worth more than the person's life whose guts you have to hose off the truck. + Whether you have to make it, beg for it or steal it. Just get the gear to the front, it's war son. + Practice the 180 turn submit all. It might save your life someday and end the lives of people in the way. + When you're ambushed by partisans swap seats before you dismount, gives you cover and they gave away their position. + Drive it like you stole it. + Hesitation means death.

@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
If you are trying to find a truck in the midline to frontline hexes they can be hard to come by. Sometimes a front will have a lot of trucks but they are all locked because they don't want enemies stealing them. So then you need to find a wrench. The sure way to get a truck without taking a risk of ones not being available is the very back hexes. There should always be some in seaports or bmats to make a new truck.
@jameseddleman69442 ай бұрын
I've been doing a "mid logi" style that keeps all the basics going, so that other logi who know the game better can do the more "expensive/complicated" logic in their respective spaces and groups. I also haven't been using the Mass Production places. A) they are far away from where I am at currently and B) I've been using the refinery timer to go supply the "middle", again, strictly with the very basic Logi things so that other logi can focus on the "good goods" I gather the scrap, refine it to bmats, shirts, grenades, rifes and ammo for them, with the occasional radio, gas mask, wrench, sandbag and shovels. using that graph but scaling the numbers way higher. What I've gathered from my first week of this game (playing the wardens, I like the underdogs) is... Frontline Logi = reactionary logi, short travel times within 6 mins one way trip is max efficient. Anything longer and you start to arrive a little too late and people are screaming for more so your stuck going back and forth longer than usual. (My made up)Mid Logi = solo logi, you overstock* the middle ground and tell Frontline Logi to get their bmats and shirts from there. Again, making it a 6 min or less trip one way for the Frontline so that they can join the front about 15 mins sooner then normal. Backline Logi = Week long prep, making large vehicles, using boats, and trains to move Arty ammo. Don't overstock too much naturally, but being the middle ground, you're trying to get places that won't be outright taken for the foresable future.
@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
Love! That is probably my favorite type of logi to do. That really is more of a supply chain mini game even more so than frontline at times. I'm gonna be honest I don't use mpf's (mass production facilities) that often. Only when I'm working with a logi clan that wants to keep their ques full. If you are doing solo stuff using an mpf is not really necessary in my opinion. Sounds like you do some good logi work! Nicely done! Honestly the way you described everything it sounds like you have a system and good head on your shoulders about it all. Thanks for sharing that!

Frontline logi tip 1: always carry a radio on your frontline logi runs and check often for partisans (on watchtowers or map posts), esp when nearing choke points or border crossings, you may lose your logi to logi cutters partisans. Frontline logi tip 2: if u see a hex where there is almost no tanks or your team is overwhelmed with tanks, consider bringing 1-2 crates of 40mm into the "safer" BB with AI up. This will incentivize some friendly tanks to come in your supplied hex. Frontline logi tip 3: if someone is building a new BB or building a townhall, you can start to prepare a starter kit (this is shirts, some guns, some ammo, bmats, medical supplies, shovels). Advanced Frontline logi tip: start to count on your map if your team tanks (triangle indicator) are getting overwhelmed (e.g. 1 friendly vs 5 enemy tanks), this is when u should consider bringing AT items (if there isn't any AT) even before your team requests for it.

Frontline logi.. going from nearby depots to frontline does save alot of time moreso if they are well stocked, and if theres a heavy truck it can allow to drive right past some partisans which is huge. Also notable advice if your gonna leave you truck at the front, unlock it so someone else can just take it.
@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
Exactly! And midline logi players are the ones that keep them well stocked which is why we need players in that role as well. I'm indifferent about leaving it unlocked. If you leave it unlocked in a secure spot that's good but if the front does not have a lot of defenses it might be better to keep it locked if there are some wrenches in the bunker. Just so partisans don't steal them. Thanks for your thoughts on this!

It would be cool if this table of materials/supplies at 4:25 could be marked by players with a desired # of those specific types of supplies, and then you can switch the view between what it currently has and what the desired quantities are. Without it, it seems like knowing what to supply depends on the logistics player's own experience and intuition of the situation combined with someone responding clearly to logistics chat inquiries.
@xFlow1502 ай бұрын
If I plan on doing frontline logi, I sometimes do drive all the way from the backline to the frontline. You have wars were public logi in midline ports or depots is lacking and backline is the only way to get what you need. I also encourage setting a full queque of logi trucks in the MPF, so you can just hop on and pull a truck from your private stash without having to play the "find a truck" minigame.

Frankly same goes with anywhere - not just the front. Last war I spent days just keeping a logi-town policed and uncongested from abandoned vechs. Most got shoved back in the seaport.. others got organized on the public-lot, refueled, and ready to go. Sometimes I just like being the Logi-Man's Logiman.

@VictorFler2 ай бұрын
I'm quite new to the game, but I did some frontline logi before last war ended and what I can suggest: - DON'T BE SCARED. When you sit in the back and mid lane, it's quiet and safe, but if you go to the very front, you can easly be killed with your cargo, but you need to keep in mind that YOUR JOB IS A "BO OR NOT TO BE" for that bases. Don't give a damn about Commends, it's nice to get some, but you know what's better? Hearing proxy chat: "Yo dude, you rock" (actual quote what I heard), "How the f**k you get that much here, jeez" (this one is for another story). Then you'll feel like a true hero, like you really made a difference, and then you will really get the motivation to do it over and over again. - IF mid storehouses or seaports are well stocked and you don't need to rush with deliveries, so you decide to go back to mid "on wheels", grab heavy duty truck. A difference is HUGE. First, it's quite fast, even fully loaded. Second, it actually HAS armor so that means you will not get stopped by a few bullets (forcing regular truck to stop is around 82% of HP, heavy duty around 50%). Third, it's a MUST if you wanna tow guns to the frontline. For example for Wardens, regular truck is literally snailing, especially on hills (don't stop or you'll not going again and will need to go back down and run again). Landmover (wardens logi half-truck) is little slower than basic on roads, but slightly faster off-road and when towing (or I just felt like it). Heavy duty truck while massively overloaded and towing Heavy 68mm was like a race car, where on turns my towed gun drifted like driven by Vin Deasel in well known movies. Of course you could just leave it on the front and respawn in the back or something BUT first, this truck is quite expensive to make (40 pcmats, where only a handfull of places have them stocked to public), second, you need small assembly station with an specyfic upgrade which will allow you to make one, and third, it takes 10 minutes to make it so it will make leaving old one and respawning actually pointless. - I mentioned overloading before - don't be scared of it. According to wiki (and what I personally experienced) it doesnt matter if you have 150, 200 or 500% cargo weight - penalty for encumbering is max 25%. - Don't feel like you need to make supplies you want to get to the frontline. Everything you see in storehouses and seaports is PUBLIC, so don't feel like you're stealing or something. You just go there, grab what you need without batting an eye and go. - Just before entering the danger zone ASK in chat about road status. Maybe you have a radio, but if you need to go by the part where arent your teammates or watchtowers, you can meet an enemy partisan who will easly stop you. In most cases there are people who are scanning logi roads just to make your duty safer. IF it's really bad and roads are occupied by hostlies, you can decide to go offroad (preferably in landmover or heavy-duty truck). Frontline logi in my opinion is best suited not only for a new players, but for solos as a whole. Running a facilities, gathering the resources, transporting them to refine to materials and then supplying the facilities will be overwhelming for solo's and will easly cause players to "burn out".

Awesome video- I loved the test you did at the end. I need to get that color coding on my game, for sure. What do you think about restoring capabilities to forward bases? Like if they have a fair amount of GL grenades but no launchers, is it worth throwing a crate of GLs instead of an extra crate of more commonly used supply? Or is it better to do a dedicated second run to bring more of those capabilities at once for prolonged and widespread usage?

But if you see all of those things are in decent spots then adding 1-2 crates of GL wouldn't be a terrible thing. Especially if you are planning to do multiple trips. Hope that helps!

Personally I do one specific type of logi, some may not even consider it much logi. I do facilities, I mainly make tanks and other stuff with pads, I will then get a boat, find a good water logi route and deliver my tanks or whatever else I make. Sometimes I get other people to help me. I also make sure to make ammo and other key materials for tanks. I'm not a big fan of other types of logi, a little too boring for my standard.

I got the game couple of days ago. The game have been great but I wish i could try the other stuff like being a tank gunner , using arty and navy .
@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
Nice! Just ask in chat if you can join anyone. Or look in the backline hexes storage depots and seaports and you can probably find a tank sitting in public stockpile. Then all you have to do is get the supplies for it and find a driver. If you need help with this or finding a group to play with DM me on discord!
@CasperKersten2 ай бұрын
Don't park logi trucks right at the forward base. Either drive them back to the nearest seaport/depot for other players in the midline, or at least a hundred meters back so they don't get in the way of frontline fighting.

maybe you should do a video on night time gameplay. My friends and i are new to the game but we just kinda use the nighttime as an opportunity to afk bio. Wish they'd make the daytime longer and the nighttime shorter. like a 3:2 ratio or something.

I'm going to be honest I absolutely hate night time gameplay. Which is why in most of my battle videos you see me either building, or doing logi during the night. I can't stand night time combat ha. I think taking a break during the night is good. But if you want to be useful during the night build or do logi rather than just stand around. And I wish the same thing! I would love if day time was more like 60-70%.

i just bought the game for the logi, i was wondering, i heard people complaining about not enough people getting scrap, so is it worth it to stick with back line logi, or at least prioritise it unless the front line is collapsing? PS- a new Warden
@harmoney-tk5wd2 ай бұрын
There's often not enough stuff being produced in the backlines so I wouldn't worry too much about frontline logi if that's not your jam. There are usually enough flexible logi who will adjust according to backline supplies and frontline supplies.
@CannibalCory2 ай бұрын
Welcome, fellow Warden! Any logi effort you do is valuable. Collecting scrap ("scrooping") is one of the easiest things to jump into that is exclusively on the back line. And since Wardens are under-populated this war, there's a shortage of everything. Try out what you like, when you like. There's always people with competing ideas on what the highest priority tasks ought to be; up to you to decide whether it suits your interests as well.
@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
Nice! Scrap is something that is always needed at all times. It's never ending. What you should be doing as a logi player is what sounds fun to do. Fronts are always collapsing, bunkers always need xyz supplies, stuff always needs made in the back. You kind of get where I am going with this? Yes sometimes there are emergency logistics that needs done but for now you don't have to worry about that. You will understand that more after you have played for a bit. Do the logi that sounds like the most fun for you at the time. If you need help finding direction with logi feel free to DM me on discord and I'd be happy to help!

@@RobertLovesGames combat scares me, never fired a gun, backline logi is my place atm i have been doing "scrooping" to refinery to factory and depositing it in public storage, this video has confirmed that i shouldn't be running up to frontlines, but i would ask advice on how to respond to logi clans that "claim" resource fields and shoo you off for being clanless? Is there any difference when doing logi in island hexes?
@RobertLovesGames2 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Island logi is a whole different game. I did quite a bit of it when the islands were first introduced. The main thing I did was make a ton of items when they had factories and transported the items on freighters over to the mainland to keep those seaports well supplied for frontline logi players. I may have to do an island logi video in the future.

Great question! I call that midline logi and I have a video on that as well. I've done little logistic operations like this before where I returned a lot of frontline logi trucks and flatbeds. I wish I could return more to feel a bit more useful. They need to tweak logistics a bit so there is a better logi loop system. Something like being able to breakdown items back into salvage or something. For example break down a logi truck and get 100 salvage back so 50% of its worth.
