That's what being a musician is all about. This wasn't no car-eye-oh-kee or jam, lol. However, to your point, it was a great performance. Not one player diminished nor outshone the others. It was fucking fantastic, pardon my French.

Fantastic!! I can’t believe that 79 people gave this a thumbs down. This was a very cool tribute to Randy.
@johnston.scott643 жыл бұрын
Hey man, Randy was the best! If you were alive today he would put Jimi, Eddie Eddie and Yngwie to shame! Above all this talent, he had personality. All the other grades were set in their modes and played the same way all the time. To quote David Lee Roth, "Eddie played the same solo for 8 years". I noticed the same thing about Yngwie. But if you find some off the cuff recordings that Randy made just messing around between takes, he did every riff from a comedy show takeoff to a coffee commercial. That's how in tune he was with the culture that he lived in.
@andrewtongue7084 Жыл бұрын
That's entirely due to their lack of musical resonance, 12floz - they have no soul.

I learned to play that song from vinyl back in 1980. Thirty-five years later, guitarists still play it. What a testament to Randy's writing. If he were alive, he would be THE standard all other players are gauged against.

I played this song on the tape recorder for my music class at Lake Highland. All my classmates were too involved with the surf punk and progressive music... I was kinda scared to play this as I thought people might make fun of me... but not so!!!! I was about 16. Since then D's have followed me.... Grateful. Bless D.D. Palmer as my name Tamara means palm tree. Blessed!!! Miss Randy!!!

His passing impacted me greatly then and the loss of his life is still sad to me today. What an incredible talent and kind heart he was and it's a tribute that all these years later people like yourselves pay tribute to him and his memory. Thank you!

Yet aGain the tears flow. On the 40th anniversary of Blizzard of Ozz there’s so much stuff Ozzy has been putting out and inevitably Randy comes up and into the documentary recently. In fact I think I’ve seen such another resurgence in his popularity his videos and a new crop of younger guitarists learning of him. I can’t stop the tears every time I see or hear him over and over. Always the best, the cream of the crop! No one can or will ever top him😢🎸💔
