Bought a couple of these years ago with laminate (Frostwood) handles. Back then they were in the $5 range. Quality back then was better than those I bought in later years. Still good as a light duty EDC . The unique design is what caught my eye to begin with. Hey, buy a few. If one breaks, keep a couple of spares. Enjoyed the video Mate!

I’ve been curious about the Choctaw. My hand is a bit wonky, but that handle is wonky, too. Have to try one and see if the wonks are compatible. Frost has some unusual patterns. And, yes, I find more QC problems in Frosts than Rough Riders, too. Usually tolerable, though. Thanks for the look at this!

Dragging the blade tip all the way off off the stone will cause more rounding. Instead try stopping the blade at the end of your drag, before the tip rolls off the stone. Then lift the edge straight up. This also applies to stropping. Took me years to learn this. (And many rounded tips). Hope that can be helpful . Enjoyed the video as always. Thanks a lot, and take care. -Dave

On AliExpress, China sight, they say it's 440-C steel. I'm still looking at it. Oddly, it's a dollar more than on Amazon.

Believe it or not, I prefer Opinel for carving. Even the 12 inch carves wood like a champ. Frost and Old Timer are really difficult for me to sharpen.

I am not surprised. I was thinking of getting a 5 or 6 and trying them for carving. Very easy to touch up. Thanks again for the support. Stay safe

I got one but it's the smaller version of the two sizes. This is a cool lttle knife.
I've been tempted on a few occasions to get one but somehow never pulled the trigger.

They not back for value and price. Honestly there are so many makers out there. The differences are small. But I like looking at all makers.vstill have my personal favorites though. 😆
