Well that's a wrap for the stock block 5.7 we gave it all we had to get that 9second pass but it's just to hot this time of year and we sent it a bit to hard🤣. Stay tuned for the BGE 392 I'm building myself right here on the channel 💪.

Hate to see this happen to anyone, but, brother but you sure did a number on that little old 5.7!😂 Now we both know where that limit is.

Yeah man I believe you could push the 5.7 15-18 in decent air and have a long life span for sure. But racing in that summer heat is not a good idea. Also I believe staying under that 7k rpm range on stock internals is probably a definite.

Wow, you have to find a pretty significant place even one ounce of gold in a pan. Fortunately, for you, it won’t take several million for start up on the next engine.

Dylan, the heat is what failed. The engine components, all of them , met their maximum effort from heat cycles. In my opinion it was about time. Like how long you've ran that block without a full tear down and rebuild. Im sorry this happened to you. Ttyl

Need to check those valves to see if there bent Possible valve float/ over rev hydralic lifters possible over pump

That 5.7 took all the bullshit you gave it until it didn't.... that was a pretty stout engine for stock R.I.P 5.7

Bad valve float and it bit the dust......need better stiffer springs

Just easier to see if ya need an oil change with maintenance windows 😂. SBE took some abuse tho

Heck yeah, for sure was the springs. Those do look like they got hot, weak, stretch a little and gave out for that split second. Would be cool to see what those springs can hold now compared to what they should be rated at. Maybe they actually did lose some strength, and lost a few pounds of force. Either way, upgraded parts all around

Could have but what caused the busted piston. Valve touched? Because it wasn't just from being weak the part that breaks normally didn't.

@FrostbiteRam piston is weak point if valve did touch wonder if u might had valves bouncing off seat during closing good chance ? Check on a symmetric cam closing cycle on lobe little softer to help prevent that also increased vavletrain stability??

Are you going to de-stroke, increase the stroke in the 6.4 or stay with stock stroke? I haven't seen one like that since my Pontiac days, it was valve float that caused it on my 389.

So stock rods held for how long/ much power? I’m just getting here Hi reving weak rods and piston toss gets em most of the time. Looks exactly like what happened. Wen they come apart like that and crank end is that good. Wen the piston gets snatched down from top of the cylinder it’s a huge strain on the rod. It literally pulls the rod apart. Early 5.7 rods are not strong at all. Not even old school 318 strong MOPAR2YA BUDDY!
