@tomplumb1 be a bit easy on him. this kind work takes quite a bit of brainstorming, patience there’s a whole list I could name. Just in the engineering aspect that’s including his time editing the video which can take a lot of time! Be patient my friend if the creator were to rush he could run into all sorts of issues and end the whole project because of one very tiny mistake!

@@councilhousecreations8035Blow through would require the carburettor to be pressurised, additionally the fuel pressure would need to be increased above atmospheric, in direct proportion to the boost. Not overly complicated with the use of a fuel pressure regulator with a boost nipple added to the atmospheric side of the diaphragm to fool it into thinking that's what the atmospheric pressure is. The carburettor needs to be sealed, which is the tricky part, with overflow and other venting, such as through the slide. My project was turbo charging an old Austin Mini. First I attempted fuel injection using a Volkswagen CIS, minus one injector, it would either idle with poor high end, or have high end without idle. Frustrated, I eventually found a Daihatsu Chrade turbo carburettor which was a blow through system, this solved all problems. Good luck, I hope this tidbit of information may help avoid some potential pitfalls.

@@councilhousecreations8035 well you are a machinist 🤷🏽‍♂️ you'd probably be able to make an adapter plate to mate a motor bike gearbox upto it, could make a cart 😁 weither its off road or on the street! The machining and fabrication is ultimately impressive. Bit the fact that it sounds immaculate is really something to be admired. I have a little 800cc inline 3 in my kawasaki sxs, and though the exhaust sound is similar, it is so heavily muffled and detuned, it just doesn't have that attractive exhaust note this has. The turbo just adds to it

The welds on your manifold are pretty darn nice for a home welding setup! If you can find/afford it look for some MG Super 600 rod. It is crazy expensive, but it's basically cheater rod. As long as the metal is clean it will basically run itself. I use it at work for air brake pipes on railroad cars, and it would be perfect for this application.

КПД трёх моторов будет меньше
@ХОББИ_Олега

For weeks now, I literally had plans to build a DIY subcompact car from scratch using parts and a chassis salvaged from a second gen Honda Pilot. This would have also used a few parts from the third gen Odyssey such as the gauge cluster and petals but a steering wheel from a Freightliner M2 112. However, the engine for it is actually an interesting choice. i coincidentally settled on a similar idea to this, except its a bespoke 672cc monobloc turbo based on the Predator 224 with a turbo from a GM L3B or VW TDI. This would be mated to something like an Aisin F21-250 but idk at the moment bc its still in the planning phase.

I have an idea, use one of Ametek's Lamb motors made for central vacuum systems. They're generally built like shopvac motors but there are models that can be like a rudimentary turbo or centrifugal supercharger. All you gotta do is just switch out the motor for a turbine or an overdriven supercharger pulley and you're golden.

Got a couple questions one how many bar of pressure does that turbo spool ? Have you strengthened the rods crank and cylinder , cause in my experience its a 7,8k rpm engine , with tuned variation low in the 10k , i know it probably in the aid of science so reliability isnt realy a thing , but these are carbed engines and pick up and gearing is more to do with sproket and chain length by the video it looks like instant delivery , but does it run constantly under the turbo , and my other question is on the lathe it intrest me on how do you know its skimed true cause the needle chisel moves inwards on the resolution of the spindle so how do you know the resolution has skimed 3mm across a 360 degree surface for example

You should connect this monster engine longitudinally with a driveshaft to a rear differential from like a quad maybe

Holy f*ck it's good to see you back, Since your last video I changed career from bricklaying to boilermaking as I was never satisfied with laying bricks and I'd been building gokarts in my garage for 5 years as a hobby. Your channel was one of my biggest inspirations to be a better engineer and then you disappeared for a year, Thought you died 😂 Now time to enjoy another CHC build 😎 Side question, what rods do you use? I've been using 16tc and as smooth and nice as they are, they're a bitch to get started

Thanks man to be honest I'm not sure what the rods are I just use general purpose for most things then I used dissimilar rods for the stainless pipe

Is there 120 deg. between crank throws/ 240 between power strokes?

You'll want to open the jets on that carb.. I bet it's running super lean. You can't add more air/ boost without adding more fuel.

More boost means its sucking more through the carb in turn sucking more fuel problem is uneven fueling between cylinders potential fuel pooling in the intake piping hard to tune from both those issues
@calholli
@calholli Жыл бұрын
@@BIGSMOKE-bl2lq That's true, but it can still restrict the fuel too much, possibly. I'm not sure if he has already over sized and accounted for that. He may have done the math, but I doubt it. I bet he just threw on whatever carb he had lying around and luckily it's working. But I agree, tuning will be a chore with this setup. A lot of trial and error needs to happen for it to be optimized. But the fact that it's not making any boost at all makes me think that it's already starving for fuel. He needs to run it up to full temp and pull the plugs and see what they look like. Too white-- then it's too lean: If they are black and wet, it's too rich.

Nice workmanship bro,should have boosted it through all three carburetors, think it's crying for more fuel with that extra boost ❤

What in tarnation did you build, son? That is one crazy contraption. Fixin' to fly to the moon? Bout to eat some toad frog and hush puppies while I watch this insanity. Wish I could go out and play with the toys. It's so cold my weenie was an innie all week. It looks like a helmet sitting on shrubbery.
