Thanks for sharing the story of the elephants. I'm sure they really appreciate those that care to improve their lives. All living creatures should have a good quality of life

I absolutely love elephants. They are such majestic creatures. I’m glad there are still places out there that give ethical treatment of all animals. I’m not a big PETA supported, actually quite the opposite but I respect animals. I also respect a nice steak as well.

Lovely to see caring people, animals can't speak so we have to communicate through being emphatic, feeling their love.
@kylehallacappellaman34355 жыл бұрын
@Joelene PreIsing: I appreciate your remark. So, I feel the need to clarify the use/understanding of one word. The word "emphatic" should be changed to "empathetic," which means "able to understand and share the feelings of another." The word "emphatic" means "expressing something forcibly." Some form of both words could be used in the same sentence, i.e., "Animals can't speak so we must communicate our empathy for them in an emphatic manner."

Jeez, poor ole Nandji is copping a right reaming there lol. When I was in Thailand at the zoo at Phuket I think, A little elephant about 4 foot tall came up to me and draped his trunk around my shoulders like I was his best mate in the world. I put my arm around his neck and gave him a scratch and he loved it. I'll never forget it. One of the best interactions I've ever had with an animal. Yosh, you look like you have been eating happy herb pizzas in Cambodia lol. Cheers.

Everyone watching this episode. If you are traveling in the USA visit the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Colorado. It is a volunteer and contribution sustaining Santuary for animals that have been abused at cicuses, private owners and other uncaring organizations. There are bears, lions, tigers, etc. who are taken in and allowed to live out their lives in a calm natural environment. It a wonderful non profit organization. There is a 1.5 mile boardwalk above the animal where you can observe the animals in a natural habitat. Bonita and Yochi you would love it. Safe sailing mates. Love your vids.

Great segment on the plight of the elephants. I was at the National Zoo in Washington DC the Elephant area had a large pool where water flowed from 5” ornate brass fixtures. A large human herd gathered watching the Elephants bathing in the cooling water. In unison the bathers filled their trunks arched them back as to spray , instead reversing over the spectators heads a wall of water completely wetting the naive spectators.

I just found this channel, "Sailing Nandji," in the last few days, and I really like it. Yoshi and Bonita seem to be great humanitarians! However, in this particular video, I question their math skills. Bonita, in giving data about the deaths on Thailand's roads, at the 7:25 mark on the video, says that there are "24,000 road deaths per year," which equals about "500 road deaths per day." Whoa! Wait. 500 per day? Well, doing a little math, 24,000 divided by 365 (days per year) = 66! She goes on to say that, of all the road deaths on Thailand's roads, about 70% are by scooter. Therefore, multiplying 70% times 66 (deaths per day) gives the total scooter deaths per day as 46! NOT 500! :) But, as I said, the show is really quite entertaining and shows a couple with great empathy for others. Happy watching!

I felt safe during the 2 years I was scooter riding in Thailand, much safer than Indonesia, the big danger in all of Asia was the western drivers, they drive like there at home, and expect Asian drivers to understand western driving ways. Keep working, can't wait to see the boat back in the water
