Stencils have the image or shape cut out, mask is the shape and the paint surrounds it 👍🏼 cheers

Very new to all of this and I have to say one idea was so good! I've seen some gelli plate videos over last few weeks and 10:25 was a game changer. And the helpful tip at 34:45 was 😉 One question though. After it dries, can you do mark making on the tissue paper and add further stencil marks by hand? Or would you have to paste that tissue pull onto another more sturdy paper to do all that? I love the idea of those paints in a big set and have never heard of that co but my first actual paint set will likely be these! Very many lovely colors! Also at 21:56, I think 🤔 there's a way to add another clear type coat over the larger areas of a dry paint, (when you had just added a bit of color in the stencil holes to give it 2 colors) to not waste paint by adding all that paint to layer 2, to pull up it up. One final question... can you make a small version of the dance stencils? Like about 2 1/2 -3 inches ? They would be great to have for smaller art pieces too ❤

Yes I use baby wipes, you can also use a damp cloth or run them under a tap, or wash them in a bucket! 👍🏼 I don’t bother unless I have used paste or gels or something thick that may block the stencil 😍 cheers

There are many stencils that look like they should be inverted or a mask of the stdncil instead such as @10:35 tho it is useful in different ways, i wish they always came in a 3 pack; atencil, inverted, mask of original stencil

Why don't you take the stencil off and put the wet side down onto its own piece of paper? I haven't actually tried it myself yet as I've only done gelli printing once but I imagine it would give you something usable as another print to add to ❤

Sometimes that works, but if you're using a thin layer, not much transfers. Also, the plate is drying out while you goof around with paints stencils. Yes, you can pit a pick up layerb9n, but you've lost to opportunity for a ghost print.

Yes I have done that before, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, depending on how dry the paint has become. Most times it just sticks to the paper!
