In his defense, and as a fellow bad backer, it's way easier to mess up your back heavy lifting (getting a car unstuck) than on a small jump like that...even a bigger one. Lifting/straining force with the wrong leverage just for a split second and BOOM SUCKERS DEAD

@@Vgk36 I'm an X3 guy and not a huge fan of this particular Ronald McDonald look (or any other for that matter) but I'm going to cut Polaris some slack on this one. We only saw a portion of the clip, no idea how long it actually sustained insane G loads while at max rpm. I think this is a dry sump engine but guessing the pickup didn't have much oil to grab, basically Leo's assessment. Polaris knows the Blog has been a supporter of theirs, hopefully they'll hook em up with swing engine and get this one back for a post mortem.

Not surprised the pro r blew up. Polaris has always had engine issues the first couple years after they bring a new engine out. It is alarming that this happened while doing cyclones. This means there will be oil starvation issues on steep rock and hill climbs as well. Should send it to the boosted boys, so they can turbo k swap it.

Crazy how fast it seized up, I know cyclones are not the best thing to do but I imagine this is gonna happen to a lot of people if they don’t make a provision to the motors to be able to handle that or atleast put into limp mode when there’s no oil where it should he

Well it’s a 4 seat so that means the forces are much higher on it because the motor is so far away from the center axis. Then it’s a longitudinal engine that’s much longer so the oil all goes to to the back end of it so the front end of the motor is dry. Bummer

@@wraith511802003 Where did you get that info? Look at the slingshot motor and look at the pro R motor. Its the same basic design. It may have different cams and pistons to make it better for a sxs build and obv transmission is different but the block, heads, alternator, sensors, etc are the same

@@wraith511802003 Just watched the pro R reveal video and the fury 2.0l engine video. Neither one said it wasnt the slingshot motor. Yes they redesigned it to work in a sxs. No its not the exact same motor but yes it is based off the slingshot motor. They do it with all of their prostar motors and it even says on their website "Engine Platforms - common core architectures within ProStar engine families". They didnt build a brand new motor for the pro R, they took one they had and redesigned it to work well in a sxs

Well based on what i saw thats sucks for the polaris because the hype was real, if im not mistaken they said this pro r was going to be better in any way you look at it, is it possible that the oil pump was defective??? Because that dosent look normal when a rs1 can do 100x cyclones and this pro r only could handle a small amount of cyclones.

Hopefully Polaris will do something about that engine. You guys have had a handful of random issues with that thing. Some donuts shouldn't cause oil starvation, or a steep hill climb is going to do the same thing.
