I was at Born late records in Ft. Worth and Michael and Sam were there also and I didn’t know who they were and I was wearing an Obituary shirt so Michael approached me and asked me to check out his band. He said they were kinda like Bolt Thrower and he dropped off some vinyl cds and tapes. I bought the vinyl because I am a Bolt Thrower fan and I like to support new bands and I have to say I was really impressed. Great band. Right up my alley.

definitely a lot of bands have been coming out of texas and ohio lately for sure but i think the whole "osdm revival" predates that from west coast bands like the ones they mentioned but especially those associated with 20 buck spin. on the european side of things also with bands like dead congregation and especially with danish bands like undergang. the maggot stomp era with all the ohio and texas bands definitely brought it to the next level of popularity but its been brewing for like a decade on a more underground level with bands from all over especially on labels like dark descent and profound lore. its awesome to see how far its come that death metal is this big again
