Wow! This is some of the prettiest terrain thus far in my opinion. So beautiful! So many parts of the video look like you are walking in a painting ( Bob Ross)! Enjoy the happy trees 😊 I have enjoyed following your journey and also all the messages you get written on your packages! That's the sweetest! Family support is wonderful! Prayers for safety as you continue hiking and have a blast!!! Oh and Hi Bigfoot!!! I like him he seems like a pretty good guy!!! Take care!!!

Possible tip on the knees, stretch out the Quads during the day. I can imagine them getting pretty tight and stronger. Can be pulling on the distal attachments (in the knees). Great journey so far! Keep it up.

There are outlets in the bunkhouse! We stayed in the same room. They are right by the bed. Changed our stuff the afternoon we got there in 2023.

Hey have really been enjoying your videos. Just wanted you to know bear cans are still required through the desolation wilderness to Donner Pass/truckee. Until 2022 everyone ditched their cans but I’m not sure why you got rid of your can? They passed this rule in 22’? I know you said you would hang your food but if you look at all the past years comments on FarOut the bear activity is very high in the desolation wilderness and they know how to get your food out of the trees. Hopefully you guys don’t get stopped by a ranger. Enjoy NorCal. It’s very beautiful and difficult at the same time. Lots of blowdowns last year. Anyways enjoy slowly not having snow in the next few weeks. Cheers Marmalade PCT 23’

See we read bear cannister, local hang, or ursack. Either way we are well past there anyway. Clearer rules should be posted at trailheads.

I had to laugh when you first said you were at Sonora pass, especially since I know the most difficult part would be descending to the pass. That's notoriously one of the worst snow sections of the PCT. It's nice there is now a shuttle in and out of KMN. I spent a lot of time hitching a ride to and from it when I went through in 2018. Thanks for another great video.

also that the Pass is the road going east west/ hikers are up in the mountains well above the Pass. us auto tourists depend on the Pass opening to get over the Sierra from west to east

i know the milage is huge but i cant get over how quick thruhikers are getting through trailrunners. my brasher hiking boots have been resoled once and are on their 12th year of use.

Thanks for the resupply footage @KMN. They seem pretty well stocked. Makes sending by UPS or Fed Ex pointless. BTW, where's the crack on the lens? I looked for it and honestly couldn't find it. As for Ursacks, I love them. I have the Almitey model with the velcro top closure. The velcro closure seems stout enough to resist critters trying to burrow through the top. My only knock is that their usable volume is limited. I repackaged my food for a five day trip and was all I can do to get my provisions in. Had to leave my first day's lunch and dinner out and there was no room for snacks. Love following you guys; you guys are kicking ass. Keep it up!

I think it would be so much easier not to send boxes ahead too but I still might because food is so much cheaper where I’m from in the Midwest. So the only point might be to save some money.

having done a lot of shorter hikes along the PCT/JMT etc// yeah, you really can smell them before you can see them hahaha// BRUTAL was meeting a Big Group of young workers from some program, they had been out working on trails for 5 weeks. Can't thank them enough for their work but WOW the smell coming from them. Really Bad.
@andymytys4 ай бұрын
@@potatothorn worst I ever smelled was picking up a PCT hiker who had cowboy camped on a golf course and got woken up by getting wet from the morning sprinklers. Nothing smells worse than a wet thru-hiker. He knew he reeked too, asking us to put all the windows down before getting into the car.
