Nice home built camera crane! I really like the idea of using that dolly wheel assembly as the main pivit point! Great Idea there! SBF

I got a big surprise at the end of your video. I was looking for Jib ideas and happened onto your video. I had to smile when I saw Wyandotte. I've lived in Wyandotte all my life. Small world.

I was planning on using a speaker stand too and I really like your idea of using the caster for the pivot and pan. I'll definitely be adding that to my build this week.

Nice job - using the caster is brilliant!

Caster wheel as a bracket... nice idea. I'm thinking that if you then extended slightly by attaching two side bars... you could raise up the boom and get nearly 130 degrees of movement. Very nicely done!

Love the use of the caster for the pivot, going to have to blatantly steal that idea from you!! Im going with an even larger pulley at the top, 6" giving me a true 2:1 ratio. I hope to have mine done in the next day or so and will def link back to you for your inspiration!! Thanks for posting!!

Looks rad, But however, with the build of the wheel axle, does it limit your movements when tilting up and down? It looks like the axle doesn't allow the crane to physically move all the way down to the ground if you get what im saying. Great way to mount it on a stand though, i think this is the answer alot of people have been looking for.
