Tomato paste tip. Cut off both ends of the can. You can push the paste through and no scraping the can. Leave the second end lid on and just push it through. Works great. Comes out easy and no scraping.

Here’s a yummy cheap dinner! I’ve been buying chicken drum sticks for $1.19 lb. They are on sale this week for 99 cents. A family pack with at least 14 drumsticks was approx $5.50. If you sprinkle with seasoned salt and bake at 425 for one hour they melt in your mouth and the skin is super crispy. We’ve added this to my family’s super cheap dinner rotation every week or two. Love this video..great recipe.

Fantastic video! Keep on going with the pantry meal recipes. It looked amazing. Plus the bread sticks, great bonus. However, the packaging for long term is also important stuff. Incorporating into same vid a great idea. We just bought flour to store and the timing of this vid couldn't be better. The Wallaby promo will come in handy. Thanks for all you do.God Bless

Great ideas for people who don’t raise a garden and can. I myself have always grown and pressure canned our spaghetti sauce with meat and without and we grow the herbs and garlic and I also make my own breads and pasta so it comes out very inexpensive. My parents taught us to grow and make everything possible ourselves. We buy only what we can’t produce ourselves. Great info, God bless

Love the easy bread stick recipe. Your sauce is very similar to mine. Lots of fresh herbs, and veggies. I usually add carrots, celery, peppers, spinach, and zucchini. I buy mushrooms when on sale and freeze, so if I have any the go in as will. Oh and definitely a squeeze of honey!

These videos are a fantastic resource for just about everyone these days. Thanks! I'm sure you're planning some ultra-frugal bean meals in the near future. Here's one of my favorite bean recipes. Do what you like with it but I promise it's the best meal a person can get for less than 50 cents. It's an "Italian" adaptation of the common White Bean Chili. The adaptation is pretty obvious, so the recipe has probably been independently developed by thousands of people. 1 lb of dry Navy or Great Northern beans (soaked overnight) 1 medium onion, diced 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 6 cups of water I cook the beans 5 hours on 'high' in a 5 qt crockpot. 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 4 celery ribs, diced 1 cup whole milk 1 cup cheap grated parmesan cheese Diced chicken, leftover from a previous meal. Stir in these additional ingredients and continue cooking on high for another hour. By my accounting method, the chicken was paid for in a previous meal, so any amount that's leftover is "free". The other ingredients total to about $3.50 in my city. If served over rice, this should make 6-8 pretty generous meals which I estimate to cost about 45 cents per serving. I love all kinds of chili but this one is definitely my favorite.

If Ben is vegan (or lactose intolerant), bring him in to discuss alternative ingredients for us! Nutritional yeast instead of parm, oil instead of butter, tvp or soy curls instead of meat. Still all shelf stable, but no animal products.

That is a pretty dang good deal Sam😉 and your right, mom’s cooking is off the hook😁. Looks delicious!!! I’d be throwing some venison in mine😉. One of our favorite cheap easy meals is French dips. I make mini French bread loaves, cook the cheapest roast I can buy (or use venison 😉 to make it even cheaper 😁) in the instant pot with homemade au jus sauce, it comes out perfect every time no matter how cheap a cut I buy. Toast the bread with garlic butter and provolone cheese, fill with meat, served with a dipping bowl of au jus, and enjoy. We always add tons of veggies from the garden too😉 sometimes I will add onions and peppers to the roast /instant pot, and make it more of a Philly cheese steak 🤤. Because I use wild game most of the time this meal is incredibly cheap!

I always enjoy the frugal Friday meals. Could you do one meal that is very low carb for diabetics who do not do well with rice, pasta, or beans. It probably would have to be eggs. But if you can make meat or fish for under $1.00 per person would be incredible.

Do you have an Aldi in your area? It is a no frills grocery store chain. I find that its canned goods are usually cheaper and work well in cooking. If you do, I would suggest that you do a comparison of Aldi vs brands you buy and see if they will work for you.

Still waiting for a meal of FAMINE meal aka, Fameal on Wikipedia. That is by volume, 5 parts grain flour, three parts bean flour, one part oil or fat, one part sugar or sweetener, as complete protein. That is 10 cents a cup, easy to make, almost no energy used. Mix 5 Tablespoons grain flour, 3T bean flour, 1T oil, 1T sugar. Add 2 cups water, bring to a boil, shut off heat. Cooked in 15 minutes sitting. Grain, beans, sugar keeps twenty years. A twist on beans and rice. Delicious too. Experiment.
@jackgoldman12 жыл бұрын
@@TheProvidentPrepper Vary the water content. That is the secret to making different products. I personally like the basic 2 cups water and sweeter with maple syrup but if price is the issue, sugar is cheaper. How cheap is cheap enough. I don't think there is anything cheaper than fameal. Not the gourmet taste but it keeps people alive. Love your channel. Thanks.
