How many days or weeks can we store this at room temp? Or should we keep it in the refrigerator for longevity?
@tatianaabramovskaya8765 Жыл бұрын
Make small batches, it's best fresh. Keep in the refrigerator in a glass jar, not in plastic. And trust me, once you tried it, longevity will be the last of your concerns - you'll use it in a blink of an eye :))))))))) I put it in a glass jar (kept in the fridge), and pour every morning about 100 ml into a spraying container I got from the store. And I use it in a day. All over my body and hair, after every shower and before bed. Yah, 100 ml, gone in a day. Edit. Haven't noticed it's a year old comment; I guess you know it all by now :))

I was wondering if I canned it in the pressure cooker if it would hold the beneficial properties while also increasing longevity

it'll be lasting for 5/6 days. If you want to store rose water more time. Then you have to take steam of rose water.
@tatianaabramovskaya8765 Жыл бұрын
Brilliant. Most of "making rose water at home" videos suggest boiling the petals. Totally unnecessary, and I dare say quite wrong - by boiling you kill half components that make rose water so precious. Made mine today. 24 hours, my petals are all decolorated, and the water is pale pink. Smells marvelous. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this video.

Or you can always buy organic product ready to be consumed :D :D :D How many roses do we need to make a real rose water? I guess the idea it's not only the fragrance but to have actual essential oil in it, as well as vitamins, anti-oxidants, flavonoids! Right?! hmm for all I know, we need to use an actual herb - for example the world known leader of roses - rosa damascena - otherwise are we really ready to drink or put anything on our skin? I made lots of researches, here a link to a really educational video kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoe7kqyMiJJ2frc . I started drinking Rose nectar and I love the results.

I think once roses are dry, they lack the oils they once had that made them silky. Hence we’d miss our mark. I think it’s the oils in the petals we’re after, here, not the bare bones of dried petals. (I’ve not read this anywhere, but it seems to have an essence of logic to it.)

Hi, you really need organic roses :). You don't want any roses bought from the store - they are just made to look beautiful and last longer - thanks to lots and lots of pesticides. Something that you definitely don't want on your skin or even to drink! I would suggest to try Bulgarian Roses - they are qualified as one of richest essential oil-bearing roses! But you can't buy them from the store. Why don't you try a product that has this rose oil. I love rose water but I don't trust just any product on the market. If I don't have the right roses I wouldn't even try to make it myself. Check this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoe7kqyMiJJ2frc it has so much information about the rose water.
