Hello Mandy / Lee, What a busy beach it was, not the most enjoyable but again everyone has the same idea. Regarding Praia do Norte, on the 05/01/23 the Brazilian sufer Marcio Freire died there. The waves were only 8m high but strong enough to kill a professional surfer. How long did they end up staying with you in Portugal? Hopefully they enjoyed their time there. Hello Sergio, Thank you for another wonderful comment. We were saddened to hear about the tragedy on the 5th January. The people who go out on those monster waves dance with death every time, and it was so sad to hear that the first surf death has occurred. Ma and Gaz spent 3 weeks in Portugal, staying with us at our Nazaré housesit. They had such a wonderful time, and completely understand why we spent so long in this amazing country! I still have 2 videos from Portugal to make, then a video on my dental treatment in Bucharest... and then we'll be up to the UAE videos 🥳🎉 Lee's actually already made the Dubai vlogs, but I think we'll aim to show our travels in chronological order, so I need to try and find time to make my videos 😉😀 It's always great to hear from you. @@FrugalTravellers to ride them Nazaré waves, a surfer needs to be 50% courageous, 50% insane! Anyway, just to say, yeah having videos in chronological order would be better as it was sometime confusing but no big deal. I've just learn that the antípod of New Zealand is mostly Spain w/ a bit of Northern Portugal. Useless information but that shows how far NZ is! Catch you later, have fun 😎

I’m glad I saw this clip AFTER I had dinner! Wow-such great food-seriously jealous. So let me get this straight-3.90 euros for lunch per person in Nazare? Is that right Lee? Really? That’s 7.80 euros for two! Earlier this week, I invited a good friend to have lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant in Oakland CA. Price? 77USD for two-can’t remember if that included a tip. No booze…just water to drink. I guess it was visited by Anthony Bourdain so must have increased the base price. 🤷 Just curious…did you introduce grilled sardines to Ma and Gaz? On our last trip, our colleague from PT was willing to share. We were afraid we didn’t like them so gracefully declined. Now we retreat that. I hear fresh sardines are nothing like the canned variety. 🐟🐟🐟 Double Pastel de Nada day? Sign me up! 😂 “I thought we never got rid of them!” Typical son-in-law comment. 😂😂😂 Cheers. 👋🏻

Yes, €7.80 for 2 is right. It was a simple lunch but quite tasty. 😋. Not sure how we'll fare when we finally do visit the States. Nazare beach looks nice. It is good to know that the beach is busy in August. When I visit Nazare, I will definitely visit Via Brasil Churrascaria and Cores e Sabores. Thank you for displaying the restaurant names and their addresses. WOW! Algar, the natural cavity is beautiful. I am with Mandy, I would not want to go inside of it. LOL It is nice to see Ma and Mandy hanging out together. 90 euros for the airport transfer, was it a round trip? Great video!

Thanks Sue. We loved the summer vibe in Nazaré although the crowds are not for everyone. Yep, 90 Euros for a one way trip, that's 1 hour 30 by taxi. Definitely a lot cheaper by bus 😉 but of course less convenient. 😊
