Tip: Instead collecting the solid surfaces with seed&boundary you can just select one solid surface, then hold right mouse button and select "all solid surfaces" or since creo 7 "all body surfaces".

Awesome I'd tried in my creo 2.0 but the geometry pattern operation shows error.

Try to increase the accuracy. Go to "File-prepare-model properties-accuracy" and increase the accuracy. Change the value to 0.0001 that's it.

To get the best from software and lag free designing what is the best configuration for a Laptop..

Buy any laptop with 8GB minimum Ram and 2GB graphics support + 2.6 GHz processor speed. This is enough for creo parametric. Anything higher than this will be best one.
