This is going to sound ridiculous, but I've become completely obsessed with Czech language, culture, and history since watching "Milada" on Netflix. I grew up in a historically Czech area of Saint Paul, MN -- known as "Little Bohemia", and only now at 23 years old is my love affair with all things Czech blossoming. I also have a love affair with all things cake. So your youtube channel is MUCH APPRECIATED! Thank you. :]

I was born in Prague but came to the United States at the age of only 4. My mom made all these Czech dishes for us growing up but didn't write them down or have a cookbook. She would just say a pinch of this and a little of that. Lol I'm so happy and excited to be able to make all these Czech dishes my mom made for my own family and pass it down to the next generation! I can't thank you enough for that gift! My family especially loves goulash & dumplings! I've made this recipe several times with different types of fruits. 🍓🍊 Thank you so much for bringing some of my Czech culture back to me! 😍💗

That coffee cake looks delicious. Reminds me of coffee cake my mom used to make in the summer with fresh plums from our tree.

My mother's parents came from Bohemia in 1909 and my mother told me that my grandmother used to make bublanina, but my mother never made it. I am going to try this recipe. Wow!

Would you recommend the crumble cake or this cake
@czechcookbook7 жыл бұрын
If you mean my fruit crumble cake recipe, they are both great. Crumble cake is for 2 baking dishes preferably and has delicious crumble on top. Cake is not as high. This one is taller and missing the crumble. You can't go wrong with either of these. You should try both. ;)
It goes well with coffee. 😉 It is hard to find correct US names for our Czech pastries. That is why it is named fruit coffee cake not only coffee cake.
