@@MrMime-ib9ov In the sequel story, their sons are good friends and based off what Yuki's son said they get this sort of fond look when they see their sons getting along, something they weren't able to do. I don't think they became close like how Yuki is with his VP and later brother in law but possibly a lot more friendly as they grew older.

@@mavenoire3704 Thanks for sharing :) I think that i felt this bec of young Yuki longing for a friend, and he thought Kyo would be that friend. That episode hit me hard. Manabe really did a wonderful job as a bestfriend to Yuki, one who listened to him and accepted him for who he is. Im not saying though that Yuki and Kyo are not friends..they needed to be with another to grow on their own, if that makes sense. And the fact that both accepted to live together at Shigure's place proves this. I really hope that they make Fruits Basket Another an anime.
