Would be dope to see a video on sampling in FL in general. Maybe show some of the stretch options needed for samples and one shots.

I’ve covered those things in other videos indirectly but honestly that’s a great idea because indirect doesn’t help people searching for that specific topic. Appreciate the comment 100%

@@norfsyq9660 💯 I’ve been putting together a list of requests. Honestly the videos that are posting are from like 3 months ago at this point. I moved and made a bunch of videos to cover me while I moved… def STILL not even in a place to record so I hope I can get to em all soon.

perfect i understand everything but in dump piano roll pitch up beat but how many cents it pitch up
@ScaleAudio Жыл бұрын
That is a good quesiton. I am not actually sure and would need to check after dumping with the pitch up option. They might even be different pitches, the FL Studio user manual just says "Pitch Up Beat - Every slice which belongs to an odd beat (1st, 3rd, etc.) is assigned a higher pitch.".

So you can't manually slice certain parts of the audio In the fruity slicer? You have to do the manual slicing in edison then dump it into the fruity slicer? Nice vide btw. Thank you.
@ScaleAudio2 жыл бұрын
You can manually slice by clicking in the upper sample window. I put an example about 14 minutes in 😬 long winded I know lol. Appreciate you checking out my video! 💪

Is there anyway i can have like a line going across so that i can pause it right when i need the chop? Having to eyeball the waves sucks
@A_Class2166 ай бұрын
I hate imagine line removed the "fill gaps" option.

It's still there for me, it's under the slicing options. It's not there for you?

the volume of the sample goes down when i put it into slicer why is that
@ScaleAudio Жыл бұрын
Where are you pulling it from? The browser? It could be a lot of reasons. Everything in the channel rack is naturally gain staged downwards causing a drop in volume compared to the browsers preview sound. Could also be the specific mixer channel that slicer is on. I mean, it could be a byproduct of the plug-in, although I haven’t consciously noticed a change myself. I may have to pay attention moving forward.

@@ScaleAudio the sample when dragged in the playlist sounds the same as in the browser but shows a dip in volume when i put it into slicer
@ScaleAudio Жыл бұрын
@@ayushkhare8700 Copy that. It’s most likely velocity related. If you drag the sample into the channel rack so that it opens into a sampler channel (instead of fruity slicer) and still get the same volume dip, then we can rule out the plug-in itself. I believe that audio placed directly in the playlist plays at 100% velocity, however, stuff in the channel rack defaults to 78% velocity (or something close to 78%).

how do i map them automatically on the white keys on my midi keyboard
@ScaleAudio Жыл бұрын
That is a good question that I honestly do not know the answer to. If you use slicex instead there is a macro for that, however, I don’t think fruity slicer has the capability to do this automatically.
@melorams22 Жыл бұрын
@@ScaleAudio man that sucks ; i just prefer fruity slicer all the way ; its clean and simple , automatically puts samples in sync with the tempo . welp now i know pros and cons

Is there any other DAWs that you use by anychance???
@ScaleAudio2 жыл бұрын
Not really. I have experience in protools and logic but I don’t own the software myself. Is there a daw in particular you wanted to learn something specific on?
