From Don Kirchner Rock Concert 1976
Thank you so much, Linda Vidal for song info:
The first song is "Earth Angel", followed by "Devil or Angel", then "For Your Love", and then Billy sings "Daddy's Coming Home Soon" then "What's Your Name?"
Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show (shortened to Dr. Hook in 1975) was an American rock band, formed in Union City, New Jersey. They enjoyed considerable commercial success in the 1970s with hit singles including "Sylvia's Mother", "The Cover of 'Rolling Stone'" (both 1972), "Only Sixteen" (1975), "A Little Bit More" (1976), "Sharing the Night Together" (1978), "When You're in Love with a Beautiful Woman" (1979), "Better Love Next Time" (1979), and "Sexy Eyes" (1980). In addition to their own material, Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show performed songs written by the poet Shel Silverstein.
The band had eight years of regular chart hits in the United States, where their music was played on top-40, easy listening, and country music outlets, and throughout the English-speaking world including the UK, Canada and South Africa. Their music spanned several genres, mostly novelty songs and acoustic ballads in their early years, though their greatest success came with their later material, mostly consisting of disco-influenced soft rock, which the band recorded under the shortened name Dr. Hook.

Have you ever noticed how when listening to todays crap ,one doesn`t feel good? I feel anxious and very upset when the noise they have today is played. If you actually do the research you will see what I mean.

Every one of the band members was vastly talented. Billy Francis with that lovely deep voice and the keyboards, and his deadpan, John Wolters on the drums and singing background almost every number, Rik and Jance on their slots guitar and bass, and even the rotating spots, all made up the medicine show. It would have been incomplete without any of them, especially Dennis with the magic vocal range, and Ray's bluesy strut... They were magic.

Amazing that they can all tweak their voices to a 50’s style. Crazy talent all around. They would’ve each succeeded individually.

Dennis Locorriere, at 72, is currently on the Dr Hook 50th Anniversary Tour in the UK where he now lives. He has also excelled as a solo artist and has several Cd's out.

@@jeanwalls7021 yep, Dennis Locorriere voice seems to have gotten even better over the years. He sounds great. Love his new songs. He still sings some of the old stuff too.

They were the only group worth paying modern Live Nation fees to see. Talent and chemistry in abundance. The Best.

I can't believe that for the past 30 years I haven't played more of their music. I still remember most of their songs but just haven't listened to them very much. Their voices are so good and they have so many hits that I don't understand how I "lost track" of them. Since I rediscovered the guys a few weeks ago my friends at KZbin have been filling up my playlists with lots of their tunes.

These songs are not their hits, they are doing a medley of hits from other artist from the "Oldies But Goodies" era. They do a magnificient job though.

I do have recently rediscovered them. Guess I just got too preoccupied with life? But thanks to KZbin I'm back on track & love seeing them perform.
