It really isn't rare, you just have to really work towards finding musicians that are worth their weight. Music industry is SO over saturated with bullshit music and musicians it's hard to weed through the bullshit for alot of people. Find authe tic humans with authe tic skills and talents and you'll see it really isn't a rarity to see guys that are as convicted as John is in his own playing.

Stadium Arcadium is my favorite album by them. It’s just such a huge soundscape. I’ll always associate it with being on the road as my dad and I listened w/our family as we drove to Paris Island for my brothers graduation from the Marine Corps. We jammed the album all the way up and back too. It became a good soundtrack for being on the road and for the latter years finishing up high school and beyond. It’s just such a colorful large canvas of an album. So many bangers on it ! And very uniquely Chili Peppers. It’s like a perfect snapshot of the band and life at the time. To me, it’s a perfect RHCP album. Goes through all of the emotions so well. Happiness, sadness, anger, confusion, peace, silliness, hope, awe. I love it.

I listened to it the first time on a road trip too. That definitely made it the most special album for me. And the second time I listened to it I was going to the lake at night watching the stars. This album changed my life, opened up a more profound way of experiencing music and when I listen to it again I go to a place in myself that I feel comfortable because it reminds me of all those feelings.
@AxiomApe

@@rorocio93 That was beautifully said. Especially “going to a place within myself that I feel comfortable”. Thank you for sharing. I’m sure you’ll never forget that night down at the lake. In south Florida in the Everglades at night you can see all the stars across the water reflecting and into the sky. It was also breathtaking when I went to Ukiah, California and I saw all the stars with no light pollution. It made me think of moments like this, listening to music like that. Beautiful

Sometime I cry to a song that is speaking to me in a whole different way and meaning than what the song is actually about. Certain words and the delivery behind them. Seems like John could have been thinking about being as one with his best friends again playing/creating beautiful music that he loves and cherishes so much. Depending on how you’re feeling at the time of listening to a song, you hear what your heart is needing. John just seemed overwhelmed with happiness or even guilt for being away for so long.

I’d like to think it’s just those 15 years being absent from the band catching up with him. It’s bound to be an emotional experience. He said in a recent interview with Rick Rubin that shortly before rejoining the band he listened to some of their records again and was blown away by how good those old songs were. I think he’s grown to appreciate the bond they have and what they’ve created together. Also feeling the warmth and love from all the crowds. At this show in Madrid there was another video of the crowd chanting “John Frusciante!!!” and I’m sure that probably got to him too. He was away for 15 years but we never forgot about him. ❤

@@Gidan Apparently, you just read the one little part about him crying here and didn't read the other part where I said this is happening a lot. Also, his voice has gotten really affected. He doesn't sound good. He sounded like something is in his throat. He's also having to wear bandages more on his arms. That could be from his immune system failing.

I presumed he's been free of drugs since he got clean and rejoined the band back in the 90s. Is this not right?
