the flag should be ahead of where you want the racers to slow down. the yellow gets waved a jump or two ahead of where someone has gone down for that reason. the ama should have a protocol for downed riders on the finish jump. if friese was on the landing instead of in between, you bet they wouldve had the flag at the base of the jump or entering the corner so the races have no excuse not to see it. just like road signs for construction or reduced speed limit or school zones.

When I first seen it I blamed Barcia but I don’t believe barcia purposely hit jett, however regardless if jett was there or not where was he even going? I highly doubt he would have made that corner. Yes a race incident that could have been avoided by jett not cutting down also could have been avoided by barcia not coming in with so much speed. Was good to see jett still finish the race even tho it didn’t make a difference definitely shows he is a tough kid.

SERIOUSLY guys… look at the speed and direction of travel! Cuts half way through the corner with no turn attempted/initiated! What, you cut down low at the disk but don’t intend to turn at the disk but cut across the whole corner before initiating the turn… 😢Looks like his ol’ MO of past! Good grief. F1, MotoGP, NASCAR you name it, you can’t just slam into the side of a bike, car, boat or what have just because room in a corner exists… ESTABLISHED RACING LINE of those in front of you. Just because Barcia decides to take a different line doesn’t allow him to take out another rider period. A lot at jeopardy to say “hmmm seams like a nice guy” credit: Tommy Boy.

Radios would make racing less exciting as it would bring team racing strategy into play, and by informing rider of the race situation it will lead to less competition. Now if radio is used for warnings on track by AMA etc that makes sense

The Kawasaki's caused Eli to lose out on multiple championships due to multiple DNF's . Deegan doesn't want to take that chance and he knows Yamaha's are the most reliable bikes on the planet . Star racing also gives riders a ton of freedom in what they want to do to their bikes Kawasaki is the opposite .

Not a fan of kawasaki but its funny that they never broke on anyone else. These race bikes break for 3 reasons. Mechanic error, how a rider rides the bike, and if a rider gets in contact with another rider or something like that. None of these bikes break because of what brand they are. Modern bikes are all built really well to a point its all on the rider and team these days@herbcanter2114

Eli said in another interview it was his other foot which was causing balance issues. He said he never wanted to say something about it because he didn't want to complain. I also get tired of all the people who say Eli was gifted because of flag or the Barcia deal. If that is the case then Jett's brother Hunter was gifted second. The thing is all riders have been in situations where they get bad starts and get tangled up with other riders that end up costing them. As for the flag there was other riders like Eli that didn't jump. So how do you account if by doing that it slowed them down. Crappy deal but that is part of the racing. Also RICKY if you still help design tracks or have say bring back more then 9 whoops and the dragon backs. This separated elite riders.

Look at where Barcia's front wheel is turned before impact ( to the right ) and if Jet was not there , where would he ( Barcia ) go ? He is aimed over the berm. So if Jet wasn't there , would Barcia still choose that same trajectory? I don't believe so .

Why is there no video of Friese's crash over the finish jump. I WANT to see it. There is no explanation what happened there. Jet passes him just before the jump starting the last lap then freise is down and can't get up? He had to have just rolled the launch ramp to wind up where he was. Fishy Fishy.

Tomac confirmed tonight on PulpMX that it was the opposite ankle of the Achilles heel injury that is hurt Regarding the red cross flag The AMA has ruled before the race previously that when the white flag and the red Cross are both out the white flag is to be waived the red flag is to be stagnant so that the cross can be seen
@mlrman-kl2bn
@mlrman-kl2bn 2 ай бұрын
Understood, but how about red cross flags in the corner or straightaway before the rider is already committed to the jump. AMA has enough flaggers and coms out there, one flag on the inside top of the jump obviously doesn't get the point across.

One thing I find interesting about the Barcia / Jett incident is that no one is saying anything about how hot Barcia was headed in to that corner. If he had not impacted Jett, He would have gone over the berm. So to say it is not his fault... "c'mon man" as a certain person likes to say. All that being said, it was a racing incident, definitely not intentional.

My thoughts on the jett and justin thing. Justins comment says he was protecting the inside line to block friese but if jett wasn't there and no contact was made he has so much speed, how far was he going to go across the track? all the way to the berm? no block was going to be made, poor line choice, too fast, crossing traffic...what was the plan? That would have caused just as much chaos for the riders behind that where actually running a proper line on the outside. Not saying jett shouldn't have been more aware since first lap is always chaos but he is running a pretty "normal" race line which is fairly predictable. probably too early in the race but if barcia ran the actual inside line like friese was targeting then both lines would have been good.

As far as this whole Barcia/Jett "T" bone, the path Barcia was on if Jett was not there where was Barcia going. Look at his path, WHERE was Barcia headed. He is missing 3/4 of the turn, the speed Barcia had, he may have hit Hunter. Im just looking at the path Barcia was on, its just like Barcia was not even close to making the turn, at a apex
