Do you have a full-open clamp measurement?

As this concern/question seems to be a hot topic with people, I'll answer this once here and point others towards it: The measurement of the fully extended clamps on my system is 7 cm (2.75 inches). You can ask Turtle Beach themselves (link to their youtube channel is in the description) for an absolute precise measurement.

This video talked me into ordering one. Only issue I had was with the trim wheel, seems super sensitive. I was able to fix it by putting it at -20 but was surprised I had to after you didn’t. Thanks for sharing your experience, really helping me get in the air and get the wheels down.

The Trim setting is down to preference: I find it just right at default for now, but may alter the settings as time goes by.

Thanks for the tip on the throttle adjustment after coming out of pause. This was happening to me while playing with the velocity one: engine shutting off when pausing then resuming. I almost wanted to return it! Cheers!

LED's in the yoke on right side have gone on mine...only had it 3 days...doesn't auger well...btw I put rubber sleeves over throttle levers to tension them..perfect...just slid them down to the bottom to touch casing...

It is my understanding that the yoke screen can display profiles, presumably a different profile for the various aircraft that may be flown. I am wondering how this will work in conjunction with the MSFS peripheral settings?

I've tried all three profiles available with the current firmware and they didn't seem to make any real difference in my testing. Worth a deeper dive though.

Not as yet; I don't think that's an option with the current firmware; but I'll keep persisting.

I've had a similar throttle cutting out issue happen on PC if the XBox controller also has control of the throttle. It seems to override any other peripheral. If you un-bind the XBox controller throttle controls, it might solve the issue.

Good afternoon Huddisons. Thank you for the video. When you trim can you feel the tention in the yoke change?

Good afternoon. There is no change in the Yoke's tension when you trim, but the resistance feels perfect with the trim wheel itself.

No. And it is not supposed to do that either. I have an old CH yoke that dit that, moving the trimwheel moved the tube in or out. Trim wheels in a real airplane don’t do that, they affect the trim surfaces on the elevators themselves. So this trimwheel works the way it should.

Did you notice in the Turtle Beach user vid in the msfs option setup it showed setup for both parts of the unit . When I go into options it only shows unit as one. Could you verify what you see in your options . Was wondering if what he showed was the pc setup..

Yes I did notice that & he did indeed set it up on a PC. I'm only getting one controls setting for my system, on the Series S.

When flying do you still have to use the Xbox controller for selecting autopilot on or off and setting heading,altitude and vertical speed. Or can one of the buttons on the velocity be programmed to take the place of the joystick on the controller that is controlled by my right thumb. And does the A,B,X and Y buttons on the velocity do the same functions as the ones on the Xbox controller. Thank you for the great update. Happy flying.✈️👍

You can bind one of the many buttons on the throttle bank, for things like that; you've just made my forthcoming settings video a whole lot more complicated ;)

@@Huddison mine has an issue with the stick where the twist axis is so loose that it’s almost unusable, barely breathing on it makes the aircraft swerve more than the village drunk. But I never said I don’t like it, I still do, I meant that your new setup is so immersive that it makes the hotas look bad in comparison, but I’d still recommend the hotas to someone looking to spend less but still have a excellent immersive experience.

How would you apply full power and right rudder at the same time with this set up? (I fly a Cessna and was thinking about left turning tendencies) I’m waiting on mine to come and I hope turtle beach releases some rudder pedals to go along with this beautiful set up

The Rudder triggers feel adaptive (so only light touches needed for a little rudder etc); they work surprisingly well.

Thanks for this update. This yoke system appears better and better. Two issues remain for me: the slack levers and saving settings. On the levers, it’s really puzzling how they have managed to fix themselves on your system and I’m wondering if other subscribers have experienced the same thing? It would be a real frustration to find after buying this set-up the levers were slack with no way to adjust them. The other question remains which is whether on the PC set up it’ll be possible to save settings even if isn’t the case on the Xbox right now (or maybe ever)!

Is it possible that the levers stiffen up when the unit is powered on? I checked the first video and when Huddison commented that they were slack, I think the system wasn't powered.

I've installed the VOF this evening on the Xbox Series X, and I've started to use it with the aim to understand how it works. I have found that in default configuration, during the game, the button B1 does not show the control panel, I have to use the joypad. Instead in the configuration page the button works properly. I am making some errors or you confirm this trouble? Thanks in advanced...

Do you mean bringing the cursor up with B1? I'm also having difficulties with this, but I have a mouse beside the yoke for that kind of thing; to me that setup makes sense when using a flight yoke.

The throttle cut off is a bug of MFS2020. It does the same on pc if you click out the game when using 2 monitors the controller loses control and the throttle resets to 0. its annoying... the whole game is annoying...its like being merried to a person you love, but argue with him/her on a daily basis.

I had the same issue with the wrong throttle setting after a pause. This seems to be caused by the fact that two different controller axis are set to control the same action. To fix mine I simply created a duplicate controller profile in the sim (called it Cessna) and removed the throttle assignment from the upper throttle lever for it. Problem solved on my Xbox S The same fix for mixture , prop etc Hope this helps

I am having major control issues on Xbox. The hatch switch does not navigate menus in game and view button is not working properly. I have to use controller to do this which then apparently confuses the game and I get controller overlays that won’t go away. Completely unplayable. Are you not experiencing these bugs at all, or am I doing something wrong. I have gone into training menu and all button appear to work properly and I am on latest firmware.

Besides the yoke and the trim wheel I will say everything needed to be reset through the control settings and I still haven’t figured out 98% of it the quick flight guide they give you Does it match any of the buttons Is there something I’m doing wrong is it because I didn’t hook it up to the computer and update it first I really didn’t want to bother my son with updating on PC so I just hooked it up to my Xbox X series any help is much appreciated

Huddison, when I am in external view, my plane doesn't show any movement over the ground. Is there a setting that I have configured wrong?

I'm not quite sure what you mean there - the ground is not moving at all when you're in external view?

@@Huddison That is correct. In external view, the plane is stationary with no ground movement at all. I can scan completely around the periphery of the plane, but no ground speed occurs, its just stationary. Is there a setting that I have switched on somewhere? Thanks for any help.

No port for Rudder pedals unfortunately (you could attach your Hotas One to the Console and rudders to them); the 4 throttle levers have a lower notch/groove for reverse thrust.

Hello there so recently I tried updating my yoke on Xbox through the Turtle Beach app, not realizing that an update is not available yet. It failed and when I treid exiting out of the app, my Yoke remained in update mode despite me pressing the back button multiple times. Therefore, I unplugged and plugged my yoke back into the Xbox but it wouldn't turn on (even tried restarting and unplugging everything but that didn't work either). The weird thing is that if I click the Xbox button on the yoke it will bring up the power off menu but no other buttons work. Any suggestions? @Huddison
