There is another person who makes upscaling mods like this, PureDark, and their Palworld mod is awesome! FSR3 framegen works amazingly, NO UI glitches or any visual shimmering or upsetting details. It's just awesome, it makes me very excited for all games to have FS3 in the future.

Just putting this out there for any people wanting to test or play with AFMF. AFMF works with Emulators as long as they have a DX11 renderer and it is selected (I've tried Ps1 and Ps2 so far) and the game has to be in Full Screen for it to function but it will work. You will also have to add the Emulator to your drivers list of "games" through the AMD drivers themselves. At this time I haven't gotten the DX12 renderer to work but you who knows if there will be an update to make that happen.

@@marcomelchionda9930 If u move ur camera quickly, yeah the fps drop down during the mouvement. However afmf is reactivating it self as soon as u stop mooving fast ur camera. Thats the weak point of the option but still it helps. im using it with super resolution on Cyberpunk ultra/high quality with a 6800xt and can manage to play between 80 and 130 fps

In cyberpunk, I get a weird ghosting affect when I enable frame generation using this mod. Idk if anyone else gets this, I notice it when I'm driving around. Bottom eighth and sides of screen flicker/ghost. It looks very bad.

Love your videos, about 2 months ago I bought a prebuilt gaming pc and the video card/gpu was seriously under performing so I was scouring the internet for solutions, since it was brand new they only thing I did was reseat it. Turns out it was not getting enough power as 2 of the pins were not getting power but with guys like you I determined it was not getting enough power. They replaced it and now I’m finally enjoying it, but gpuz and msi afterburner were great tools to grab screenshots and show/prove it was not performing correctly. I have come to believe amd adrenaline software kinda 😂 keep cranking out videos, helps a lot.

Really appreciate the vid. I gave up on Lukes mod because of the UI ghosting. But now gotta check back on it. Btw have you tried using lossless scale on top of FG. I can max out Witcher 3 on my 3080 at 4k 144hz. RT off. With FG only it was at about 90-100fps. Try it, its awesome.

Good video! Yeah I noticed the same thing in Both Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk. UI fixed once enabled DLSS frame gen. Blown away by Alan Wake 2 graphics even before FSR 3 mod, unreal at 4k. Had to test for latency and think sometimes on cyberpunk I had to restart to sort it out when enabled AFMF

@@RX7800XTBenchmarks It's annoying but have to delete a file before start up each time for the game to work with Alan Wake 2 FSR 3 MOD. You need to go C:/Users/Appdata/Local/Remedy/Alanwake2/ then delete the renderer file for it too stop crashing. You will still get that error but just click ok and it will be fine. Not sure if that's the best way to do it but it was my fix. It basically just resets your graphics options, doesn't delete saves or anything bad, so you'll need to change those and then just use DLSS instead of FSR

@@RX7800XTBenchmarks Delete the Render file in C:\Users\???\AppData\Local\Remedy\AlanWake2. This stopped the game crashing for me. Just posting this again because can't see my previous msg for some reason so not sure if went through. You will get the error msg still but it won't crash, just ok the message. You'll need to repeat this before you start the game however because it generates it again after play. Not sure if this is the best fix but it worked for me and didn't delete anything important, just resets the graphics settings

Enabled this in Warzone 3, I used Fidelity CAS which is sharpening only and has no shimmering or degradation. I was getting 550-600FPS with my 13900K, 7900XTX, 7600C36. Butter smooth too. I told the guys in a WZ discord and they all were like fram gen is shit. I'm telling you, this is unreal!! Granted the GPU is pulling 400 Watts. 😂

Alan Wake 2 works but frame gen must be manually turned on from the renderer config file because from menu it forces to activate dlss2 and game becomes a mess. From file you are able to keep fsr2/native and framegen on 6800xt

Alan wake 2 works perfect with NukeM's mod. You'll need to disable lensdistortion in the ini file though or there will be ghosting artifacts on the characters.

Yes, this is a problem with the mod. If the frames change too fast, there will be some kind of tearing which happens when driving fast in Cyberpunk. There is some tearing/ghosting right on the back end of the car at the bottom of the screen. Hopefully the official implementation fixes it. But I haven't seen it in any other games, possibly because there isn't any games with such fast movement that works with the mod currently.

Yes... Cyberpunk Replace_dlss_fg - now i know what i changed ;) With Alan Wake 2, update 1.15 broke mod. Even before the update, only version 0.9.0 was working properly.

Alan Wake since 0.10.0 only runs at borderless windowed (I don't know why).

Weird, I just finished AW2, 1.14, the mod was at version 0.10 if I'm not mistaken... but yeah, it worked on my end. You have to disable those "filters" that simulates the picture quality of a movie, like film grain, lens distortion... turn off motion blur for good measure, that way the "ghosting" vanishes. On a RX 7600... 1440p, exclusive full screen, a mix of high and medium settings, I locked the game at 60fps using v-sync and it was decent enough, it got smoother. The frame generation gimmick is just that: it's not a miracle worker, you have to achieve at least 50fps to begin with, then you activate frame generation and lock the refresh rate to make things feels smoother

@@vlad_8011 Weird how you had to go through such hassle, my only "obstacle" was the ghosting and I found the solution for it in like 5 minutes. Well, glad it's working, the smartest choice is to wait indeed, Alan Wake 2 is a very interesting game (if you follow the "Remedyverse"), but just like every other "modern" game, I do think AW2 needs a little bit more of patching... there's some visual glitches and bad lip syncing, it can be distracting, but it is what it is, maybe this 1.15 version patched things up

You tell us the first game to leave mode default but change other things to true, then in one game to change the mode but leave the other stuff on false. How do I know which game needs which settings? Is there a logic to it or just try and error?

because most games where you can use "replace dlss fg" and it works properly will let you use FG alone without upscaling. The ones that don't (like Robocop), need to be used like that. I had to do trial and error in some, but in most of them you have the instructions on the downloading website

Great Video! Once again AMD and modders are saving budget gpu's like it was with FSR 2 before :) Yeah ofc its not native and not ideal, but much better than reducing resolution and playing on lowest settings. I do have two questions: 1. Is it worth to limit fps with FSR3 enabled? Let's say I have 60hz screen and I'm getting like 40 fps without FG and like 60-100 with, should I limit my fps to 60 via riva tuner? 2. If I have AMD card and have a choice between fsr2, xess and dlss while FG is enabled, If I choose dlss what actually it is then? Same fsr2?

1. You can try to limit, but I don't know how well it will work 2. In some games XeSS is now better than FSR2, presenting less shimmering

this is finally perfect for me to play witcher 3 and Cyberpunk with Raytraycing on the 7900xtx to play it on the free sync range. I hope they can update the fsr to improve the garbage qualitiy Implementation on both games. I prefer always the xess ultra Quality.

@@AncientGameplays yea that's true, but Cyberpunk with Pathtracing + optimisation mod works only for 25 fps, with xess ultra quality is it 40 in UWQHD. In the Witcher is that absolutely true, full Raytraycing + optimisation mod get to 65 fps and with xess 75 fps. I can play it really well without fsr but now it will try to compare it with. Native + fsr 3 frame gen vs only xess ultra quality. Maybe the trees could look really muddy with frame gen and the input lag can be a problem too. I hope amd can bring the ultra latency+ back, it works with witcher 3 so insane responsive.

Fabio, have you encountered any issue with Adrenaline not launching? Updated to 23.12.1 then 24.1.1 then it wouldn't launch at start up or from desktop icon. Tried rolling back to 23.10.2 , no launch. Uninstalled Adrenaline, reinstalled and, nada. I really don't want to DDU. Hoping there is some easier fix you may know of. Thanks.
