Well this video is now 5 years old and you’ve graduated and gone on to new things. But I just saw the video today and thought you were so sweet and endearing, the emotions you had about your first weeks of college, and so many things you learned and appreciated in a short time. My daughter just committed to FSU for this summer. Thanks for your video, thanks for keeping it real, and I hope you are doing doing well.

This video is so helpful! What kind of grades did you have to get into all 3 schools that you applied for? And like GPA and SAT/ACT scores?

ill be finishing my AA at the end of my senior year , i've passed 4/5 of my AP exams, i have a 4.1 gpa, im a florida resident, but my SAT score isn't the best (1130 i have retakes this month), what do you think my chances are for FSU? i know you can't be certain but how do i compare to you or some of the people you know who got in? 😕

I scored 1020 on my sat and graduated high school with 3.6 weighted and 3.4 unweighted and i got into FSU with a full academic and minority scholarship but i turned them down. I applied to 9 schools my senior year and i got into 8. I got into my dream school. They gave me some academic scholarships but my first semester i got a 4.0 so they increased my aid mid year. After that, i qualified for that same scholarship as long as i kept a 3.2 GPA. Hope that helps

prskyguy so when FSU accepted you did you have a whole bunch of extracurriculars? And what was your ACT scores? Thanks🤗

Jada Spease this was helpful! I’m a junior right now going into senior year and I’m so nervous about not gettin accepted due to my GPA not being a 4.0 or higher
@ryleemehr69576 жыл бұрын
Jakaria Burdett i got in with a 3.8 weighted. as long as you have pretty high act and sat scores you should be ok and it’s easier to get accepted into the summer semester at FSU rather than the fall which is pretty competitive

Thanks for this video ! I’m from NY and I’m really looking into FSU because the student housing off campus is very affordable compared to NY prices but the tuition is a little more. I’m hoping I’ll get a scholarship that gives me in state tuition. Any tips and advice for the best off campus student housing?
@stasikatr7 жыл бұрын
Have you moved into the apartments with the own bedroom and bathroom ? Me and my cousin are looking into them some of them are about 500 a month, how is the safety, parking , ect. I’ve read some horror story reviews online

Jada Spease Thank you so much gorgeous! I am really nervous looking into colleges and New York is so expensive I can’t afford to dorm here and some of the Florida housing looks beautiful with pools, gyms, ect while in New York I’d have to share a bathroom and bedroom with like 5 people. I’ll be looking forward to your videos

This was amazing! I qualify for the care program, I just need to get the Pell Grant! I'm only a junior but I'm getting all of my info for college and I really think I have a high chance of going here! The only thing though is that I didn't take any AP classes, but I'm taking so many dual enrollment classes (which are weighed the same as AP) so do you think that'll stop me from getting in? And I'm also planning on joining so many clubs in school since I don't play a sport and I know colleges love ECs. God bless you!

I have all the requirements for the CARE program but I missed the deadline and I’m a senior, would i still be able to qualify for next year? Or they only accept high school seniors applications? Do you know if there’s any other programs in FSU similar to the care program for college students?
@ryleemehr69576 жыл бұрын
Odalys Rodriguez i think they take walk ons for the care program

I don't want to sound weird but why didn't you bring your car to FSU? I'm wondering because I want to go to FSU next year but I really didn't know if I should bring my car.
@taki88855 жыл бұрын
Angelys cazes same because on their website they said anyone can can have a car if you have the pass, maybe there’s not enough parking spaces🤔

Thank you for sharing your FSU experience. FSU was my safety school and listening to you talk about your school solidified to me that I made the right choice by going to Howard. I often think about what my life would have been like if i went to FSU and all i can say is thank God i listened to my heart and went to my dream school. Every day was LIT and i didn't have to worry about "If i went out, will the music be whack or will the conversations be dull or will there be enough people that shared similar interests to me" and I have to say that 100% of the time when i went out, I partied and broke bread with the most fascinating people I had ever met. From the students to the professors, I partied with everyone and it was the best 4 years of my life. I remember being angry at graduation because my time at Howard was over and at the time i wasn't ready. But the fact that I was in the most competitive yet supporting environment among student who shared my culture and co-culture made Howard the most amazing time in my life. So thank you for sharing your story. It made me appreciate Howard so much more. I would have been miserable at FSU.

What are the SAT/ACT score requirements? I got a 1170 and I have a 4.0. So I’m just wondering if my chances are high. And also I’m interested in the pre med program. Is it really good at FSU?
