@@AmauryChihuahua surprisingly yes! Here in Scotland you can get crazy wind speeds, I think of one memory vividly, 45kts or a bit head wind, matched with the same forward velocity and you hover! A mate of mine had this when he was on short final to the strip, and god it’s terrifying, that’s why gliders tend to take steep approaches in rough conditions, because a wind gradient is powerful!
