Excellent work! I wonder how you manage to do it? Is it possible in P3D?
@tjfSIM5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is possible in P3D, but much more difficult and time consuming because tools for replay, cameras and rendering are not quite as good. FS Recorder, which I used for my FSX videos, does not work in P3Dv4.

@@tjfSIM Good to hear from you. Am considering buying a gaming PC and have been comparing the games -fsx, p3d and xplane 11. So far I'm impressed by fsx videos though I've had people say it is better with add ons. That X11 is the best i n realism and P3D looks more professional. Which one is good for a beginner?
@tjfSIM5 жыл бұрын
Ezra Ondara To be honest, either sim on its own would be fine for beginners. Some have said the flight dynamics in xp11 are a bit twitchy or over sensitive, but I can’t comment on that myself as I haven’t flown much with it. FSX might be a good way to get started before upgrading to p3d, but I wouldn’t invest any money in add ons for it, as developers are slowly withdrawing support for FSX. I prefer p3d myself just because of the good choice of complex airliner add ons, such as those from pmdg, but more and more stuff is being developed for xp11 and it does look amazing as well!

@@tjfSIM Good talk! I think I will go for P3D. Been flying Xplane 10 the mobile version and its quite difficult, it frustrates me. Sometimes I bend my phone upside down to go up/down - really sucks, but I suppose that's not the case when gaming in PC. In any case, XP10 is a bit old. For now I will keep enjoying your flights until I start myself. Cheers!

@@ezraondaratv You've been using XPlane on a phone? I'm not surprised you're finding it difficult. It's got to be a desktop PC (or mac), as you need to be able to see multiple windows and switch between views quickly, as well as having a comfortable control set up. I would definitely concentrate on getting a decent PC before you think about P3D (or any other serious simulator). Good luck!

@@tjfSIM It sure does look like it. I am looking forward to a 747 showdown soon. You have 777's and other heavy types logged already. It's time for the QOTS. Hehe!
@tjfSIM6 жыл бұрын
@@AviationExperience Hehe he thanks :) I make plenty of very bad andings though :) Sadly the 747 is becoming rarer to see in the UK, although apparently LHR now has the highest number of 747 movements in the world. That's only because BA happens to have a very large fleet of 744s, which will reduce drastically as they take on more 789s and A350s. All the BA 747s will be gone within 6 years, so by that time it will be very rare to see 747s anywhere. I think within 10 years, they will be almost all gone, except for the few 747-8s that are around. Boeing will not be getting any more customers for the 747-8.

@@tjfSIM It's very sad to hear. Affirmation indeed. 😔 I really wish that they would at least keep a few 747-400's as a reminder of their outstanding history. In any case, as soon as the 744's disappear I'll be transitioning to the 748i. I like doing long haul flights in my spare time. Currently I fly for Qantas between KLAX and YSSY in their 744ER. As soon as this service disappears completely I'll get the PMDG upgrade and plot for the longest flight in maybe Qatar or another. The 744's are disappearing soon, so, all the more reason to make a life changing video of them. 🙂 Knowing you from seeing your work, I'm sure it would be a phenomenal sight. I flew back to LA this afternoon. I've serviced the aircraft and returning to Sydney now. Another long flight.
@tjfSIM6 жыл бұрын
@@AviationExperience Sadly airlines are retiring the 744 very rapidly now. As far as I can see, it's BA, Virgin or KLM if you want to fly 747-400 now. At the moment it is very difficult to film the PMDG 747 in P3D v4, as the APIs are very limited, and things like gear animations and wing flex don't work during replay. As soon as those things are sorted out, I will do a 744 video.

Well spotted! You're the only one to notice that :) I just edited the texture bmps in photoshop to darken the relevant areas.

tjf4375 It looked so unique compared to the stock Pmdg 777. Those textures look really good 👌🏾 do you have the edited bmp files by any chance ?
