Correction: - Muslims don't pray to the Kaaba, they pray to God alone, nothing else. They pray in the direction of the kaaba so all muslim pray in one direction around the planet. - Eid ul Adha comes from Arabic and is therefore in urdu, persian, and languages that muslims speak. - The bath is not mandatory but it is highly recommended and the habit of the prophet Muhammad, because Eid everyone is suppose to be happy, look nice and fresh, so obviously it make sense why the bath is taken. Same bath is taken before every Friday prayer also. - What you said about story of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) is true that his obediance to God was tested by God and as he passed the test God replaced his beloved son with a goat when he was about of slaughter his son and God loved the deed so much that God made it permanent for muslims until world ends. Also, the meat of the sacrificed animal is given to the poor usually. Remember animals and humans are slaves of God and obey the 'will' of God. This life is a 'test'; animals have it easy they won't get tested on many things, fulfilling their requirements of God and then getting sacrificed and going to heaven forever is not a bad deal if you ask me.. Also, remember we humans don't know everything, God knows best. - The animals is slaughtered in the least painful manner and as soon as you recite the prayer the animal calms down (some animals resist for a bit but they all eventually calm down and obey to God), it is an amazing sight to see. >>>>>Pronounciations were so off by the way, this time.

You are talking as if only muslims eat animals, humans all around the world eat animals. Certain animals are made permissible by God as food in Islam. The animal is slaughtered in the least painful manner. See all creation including animals belong to God and are slaves of God, this short life is a test for us and we do as God wills, animals have it easier they won't get questioned on a lot and will go straight to heaven if they are good. Being sacrificed with momentary pain is not bad if you make it to HEAVEN FOREVER..sounds like a really good deal... we all have to die at some point anyways. Regardless, we don't know everything, God is all-knowing and knows the best... we do as God wills.

kingtoyab69 sir we know about this eid a ten day ago.. this is because of the arrival of new islamic month.. as u heard there we follow lunar calender so look for the moon.. it is there in islamic calender some months hav 29 or some hav 30 days... So in order to know about new month we look forward for the new crescent... Eid ul Adha is celebrated on 10th day of the month named "Dul Hijja" and other one Eid Ul Fitar is celebrated on 1st day of a month named "Shawal" thats the eid you are talking about.. as this come we look for the crescent and ofcourse new islamic month so if we dont see the crescent that next day will be not that Eid day and if the crescent has been shown to us we celebrate eid.. but this will be just one day differnce even we dont know this month is of 29 days or 30 days.. we follow moon :)

The two Eids in Islam are reconstructions of Yom Kippur (sacrifice for atonement) and Christmas ( miracle of the Quran - Laylat al-Qadr) . Eid al Adha is a copy of the day of atonement/ Yom Kippur . The sacrifice that signifies Abrahams devotion and animal sacrifice to atone for your sins.
