I have been to the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) more times than I can count, before I retired from the Navy. The port of Jebel Ali, which is about a 45 minute cab drive from Dubai is a VERY FREQUENT port visit for the U.S. Navy operating in the Arabian Gulf. I have overwhelmingly positive things to say about the very modern and very pro-Western U.A.E. Was in Uae three weeks. Stayed in Dubai. But went to sharjah, Al Ain and abu dhabi. The arabic gulf is beautiful. Loved jebel hafeet. Went in burj khalifa, they have the best Arabic foods. It was lovely.
