FTM Detransition: The problem with Self-Identifying Gender

So, today on detransjoy I would like to discuss the topic of “Self-Identifying” one’s gender.
The fundamental problem with this concept is that people are making the decision to medically transition based on this very false premise that one can change their gender. This is simply not true. Many many detransitioners have found out the very hard way, this is not possible. No matter how many cross sex hormones one takes or gender affirming surgery one may have, you can’t change your gender. Gender is static and you don’t get to pick it.
Also, by allowing people to self-identify their gender, we are having cases of some males who are joining the LGBTQIA+ community self-identifying as women. These males then think it’s their right to take over girl sports, women’s sports, women’s spaces and lesbian spaces.
And I’ve said this before and I will say it again.
It seems to be the belief of the transgenders that:
It’s our right. To take over girls sports
Its our right to take over women sports
Its or right to take over women’s spaces
Its our right to take over lesbian spaces
So, transgender people seem to think their rights supersede those of others. It seems to be that their rights are simply more important. So, in the name of the their rights they are taking away the rights of others. Namely women and children.
I would like to mention that in my opinion, exploring one’s gender is a huge waste of time. It is also confusing people. For example, we had a woman who came into our support group for survivors of Gender Affirming Health Care. Well, she didn’t know if she was a woman. And she written over 20 pages with reasons about whether or not she was a woman. For this reason, we came up with a working definition that anyone can use to determine what their gender is. It is as follows.
People are making gender too hard.
Gender is between your legs. If you believe anything other than that, then, what is in your head is a delusion. One's gender is static and can never ever change no matter how many hormones you take or surgeries you might have.
See, here we have a simple working definition based on reality that works for anyone confused about what their gender is. You see, for these confused individuals, they can have their answer as to what gender they are in less than 5 minutes. You see, a trip to the bathroom will easily let you determine what gender you are.
Finally, I would like to say if you think exploring your gender with cross sex hormones is a good idea. I can only try to warn you that you really probably do not want to learn the lessons myself and other detransitoners have had to learn the veryhard way. Don’t do it. There are things you can do with your time that will be far better than exploring gender.

i think you need to speak to actual queer people. it's completely fine to detransition, and im sorry for the trauma you may have endured within that.. but that gives you no right to be outright transphobic. exploring gender is very important, but you do not need to have surgery or gender-altering medicine right away! or at all. gender is a made up concept, one that may change as we grow. don't be forcing your rhetoric onto others. it's gross and creepy.

gender is definitely not a made-up concept, that's a falsehood perpetuated by the lgtbquinoa+=- community. look up the case of "Bruce/Brenda Reimer" because this boy was transitioned to a girl as a baby (bc of a botched circumcision) and despite being told he was a girl his WHOLE life, he still acted like a male. stood up to pee (despite not having a penis) and acted like a boy so much that it earned him teh nickname "Cavegirl" among his classmates. Eventually, he grew up, learned the truth that he was a male, married a woman, adopted some kids (having no sexual function due to the botched circumcision) and lived out his days as a janitor at a slaugherhouse. The case of Bruce-Brenda-David Reimer shows us that gender is NOT at all made up, it's very much part of our psychology. "don't be forcing your rhetoric onto others. it's gross and creepy." isn't that what YOU'RE doing here? you're trying to force the claim that gender is made up. hypocritical statements like this are another issue the lgbtquinoa+=- community has because despite evidence, you still deny scientific *FACTS*. Facts dont care about your feelings and neither does anyone in the real world. there's also no transphobia here, don't act like this is even close to transphobic. people like you have misused the word "transphobia" so much that it means NOTHING anymore. to you, anyone who doesn't agree with you is suddenly transphobic and that has made the word "transphobic" absolutely meaningless nowadays.

and fyi, "actual queer people" are also part of the issue. never saw the pride parade last year where they said, word for word, "we're here, we're queer, WE'RE COMING FOR YOUR CHILDREN"? They have their own issues too, booboo

That's the black and white thinking of autism. Chance felt shoe-horned and that she sort of look masculine so she might as well conform to fit in. That's not who gender transition is for and this is the result and they are now going before our state legislature and testifying and posting minute clips and issuing tweets. It's tough to refute their arguments in such few words especially when the Heritage Foundation and Alliance Defending Freedom orchestrate the entire presentation before our state houses and offer little counter opinion from those in the medical profession or those who are doing well with gender medicine. It won't end well because the courts are stacked against us and now 68% of states are Republican controlled with over half having all branches (house, senate, governorship). Once they get to 75%, they can issue federal constitutional amendments or remove certain provisions. With Biden's performance last night, it's not looking good unless someone like Dean Phillips can run in his place. When all is said and done, our medicine will be illegal even for adults and LGBT groups will be considered terror organizations with it's members blackmailed and likely arrested and fined six or seven figures. The goal is to have an underclass that they can force into labor with prison sentences for possessing currently legal porn, having same sex relations, cross-dressing, or promoting LGBT issues. Look to Hungary to see what conservatives around the globe are doing especially in Europe and the US.

@@detransjoy Speak all you like and warn potential transitioners of side effects. I spent a year looking at medical studies and hearing personal testimonials before I had an orchiectomy and took low dose estrogen. I knew what I was getting into and that body would likely accept it easier than male puberty and that's what happened. I have a problem with detransitioners literally using our lawmakers and pointing a gun at me threatening incarceration for possession or criminal penalties placed on my prescriber. Don't do that and we are good. Go back to making your lesbo stew and if you break the arms of a couple of transwomen or want to chastise a few transmen in the process, so be it. I don't care.
