I'm quite shy really, no transitioning hasn't changed that, I have more confidence now but I'm still pretty shy.

also adding to this that darker clothing helps hides shadows therefore, it'll help hide unwanted curves. just a little thing I thought of.

Personally, I've found that walking in more of a "masculine" way makes me feel ten times better than walking how i normally did
@EerieCipher10 жыл бұрын
can you maybe explain walking like a guy? I mean...i cant seem to stop the slight hip swinging I get
@just_ash226510 жыл бұрын
Karkat Crabtroll I just tend to walk with my head held higher and my shoulders more upright. Also, I try to notice how cis men walk and I try to replicate that :) Fun fact: It wasn't until someone told me to walk more like a woman when I was nine that I started walking femininely. And it was by mimicking older girls that I learned how to do it. So it kinda works both ways, I guess
@SebbyNilsen9 жыл бұрын
Mom once time said I shouldn't walk "masculine". I should walk "normal" or "feminine". Does the walk really matter so much for your family?
@sobhammy8 жыл бұрын
definitely, I have a slight shoulder slouch anyway because I have bad posture, and I always have my hands in my pockets with the thumbs out, and then you teach yourself to have a bit of a gap inbetween your legs when walking

I feel better when I walk masculine, too... I don't feel so weird and out of place any more :)

I normally think of my body as a box when im sitting or standing. when standing, i have my feet turned out and several inches apart rather than turned inward or together. when sitting, i usually put my arm/s on the arm of the chair, sit up straighter, broaden my shoulders a bit and keep my feet/legs apart. if my legs are crossed, i have my ankle rest on my knee rather than knee over knee. there's a bunch of weird stuff i do that im conscious of when im in public.
@tylerparrish-lewis89566 жыл бұрын
SempiternalHell I recently got into the habit of crossing knee to knee which doesn’t really help me in public, so when I’m conscious of it, I move my legs so it’s ankle over knee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@pecklespeckle15 жыл бұрын
I'm in school, and I adopted the habit a lot of guys have of crossing ankle to ankle under the chair I only cross knee to knee when I'm extremely uncomfortable. I understand why guys don't cross their legs much. Ankle over knee is very uncomfortable for my bony ankles and knees haha

Super thanks to you, Jammi. It is incredibly good and helpful of you to give these tips for others in the transgender community. As a high school counselor, I know how much young people look to KZbin for support and information. I want you to know that you have a lot of support and to know that there are many people giving you encouragement in your brave journey. It is so helpful for others to see and hear your thoughts and ideas. Thank you. Stay strong and well. Love and peace......Ray

This is sort of weird, but I find that rolling up the sleeves in shirts makes you look more masculine. If a shirts sleeves go over your hands, it tends to look “cutesy”, so rolling up the sleeves to your elbows has worked for me 👌🏻

Alright, I need help. I'm planning on telling my mam that I'm trans soon, but, I'm kind of planning ahead snd I'm confused about the order that I should do things. Should I tell my mam then get my hair cut and then get a binder ir something? But then... Should I tell people at school? I have very little friends so it's not like it matters to them but people will look at me funny and I don't want to weird my classmates and teachers out by having them call me 'he'. My brother will definetly make fun of me. It probably won't be all that suprising to my old friends though cause when everyone first met me when we were little I dressed like a boy but stopped when I was 10. I'm 14 now btw. If anyone has advise I would appreciate it so much!

Hey anyone reading the comments, one thing I'll say in regards to voice (and I cant give much personal testimony to this yet because I havent been engaging with it for long and have been bad with consistency, I'm sorry), is subliminals - like, voice deepening ones, Adam's apple growth, sharper jawline, voice being read as male, etc. There are subliminals online for so many things. If you dont know what that is then to my understanding a subliminal (in this context) is an audio that plays messages to your brain hidden beneath some other sound (rain, white noise, music, etc.). You dont hear it, but you actually do (because of how the subconscious mind works). Exposing yourself to subliminal messaging can cause an array of changes, yes, even in physical development. And the more faith you have, the less mental blockage you possess and the better things are likely to work. Sounded weird to me at first I'll admit, but I'm getting more open-minded - subs have been banned in ads due to what they can do to people even if they aren't aware Be careful though, and do some research - given the power of these things if not done right it can have negative effects, for example like you dont want negative words (ex: My voice is not high pitched), because your mind doesnt really hear the 'not' (in this example it would just pick up on 'high pitched', which the opposite of the goal if you dont want one). So yeah, for some folks this could maybe be cool along with voice exercises. All depends on the person though of course

_Grumpy _ Go online, some sites ship binder for free. If you can't have it sent to your house send it to a friends. I hope that helps. Also you can bind with one or multiple sports bras.
