I never thought about having internalized transphobia... but now that you explained it I realize that ..thats the way I feel about my chest, it's not only that I want to have top surgery for my own health, but part of those thoughts are "transphobic". it's weird how I judge my own body, but, like you said, I don't judge other people's

Lluís Owen yay for understanding ourselves! 😁👍 just don't let over-analyzing stop you from doing something you know deep down you need or want. ❤

Thank you Emil, your statements just turned on a light in my head :D I've only distinguished between dysphoria and internalized transphobia in social contexts but never in actual physical terms.

Emil, thank you so much for this video! I have been wrestling with internalized transphobia all week. This was so calming to hear. You are a Saint. Happy new year to you and your mama!

I feel like you're a very intelligent person who thinks about a lot of things and is able to reflect on difficult situations and feelings open-mindedly (is this a word?^^). Very good video

Thank you for posting this. I've been really struggling with similar issues and this video has really helped me realize that I'm not alone in feeling this way.

This is a very interesting video I think this is a very complex issue that many trans people (myself included) struggle with and it is really important to talk about, thanks!

Completely off topic: the three polish-less nails are distracting.

Very good video! I think it's good that you question yourself and your thoughts and feelings I really think that that's important in general but I also think that you don't always have to now EXACTLY why you are feeling a certain way or why you might want something. You don't have to know and explain everything you are feeling and doing. Of course you shouldn't just do things without questioning yourself at all! Just do what feels right to you and when you don't know jet just wait. I hope that doesn't come across wrong..

PX Xaver i totally get what you're saying and it's super important too! :) Over-analyzing can lead to staying in a limbo forever and never going anywhere.

Exactly and I think that in the end of the day it's not that important why you are doing something as long as you feel good about it. I also feel like when the people around you either don't understand how you feel/identify or don't accept it and therefore question it a lot you can come into a state where you are doing it yourself. At this point we come back to the topic of internalized transphobia influencing how we feel about ourselves. Very interesting topic to think about!

I struggle with both bottom dysphoria and internalised transphobia, so I do think the best route for me is to both deal with the latter and have bottom surgery as that is what I need and want, although I'm not suggesting that it's the same for you or anyone else. However, if you want any advice, I would suggest maybe try working on internalised transphobia while leaving the option open for possibly having bottom surgery in the future, but of course also pay attention to when/if dysphoria arises. I wish you good luck with everything though, and I hope you will find a way to sort out your thoughts and feelings, as I know that can be difficult sometimes.
