Great review, really enjoy your banter. The platform looks great. Is the lipo charger and battery included with the kit easy to manage for a newbie? Only ever used nimh on tamiya kits.

Thank you. Yeah, it is about as easy and straightforward as they come. However, it is still very much worth your while to read-up about safe lipo charging and storage, beforehand. Just in-case.

Ah, it's actually cool with some dialogue! Usually on RC videos there is just one guy talking, ha ha... I have no idea about those FTX, but it was fun you spoke about "personality" for those trailing arm rear suspension cars. I think that's a good word for it, and it's not much fun after the tenth time it's been on its roof. I have a few of that type cars, I think I won't be getting any more of them finally... Thanks for the informative video, have a great weekend there!

Hello. Depends on budget. The brushless is much faster, but you can always upgrade the brushed one at a later date. Sometimes it's better to practice with a slower one first, but if you can handle the brushless and have the money, then go for it.

I have run my brushless carnage on 3s with a 45 amp esc from day 1 with no problems. 80 amp esc must surely take 4s 💪💪more power !!!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

I've seen a couple of run videos of the new brushless Zorro, and on 3s will do 40mph+. It also handles much better. The new colour scheme is great. I love the combo of white, orange and red. It's a little reminiscent of the Toyota racing colours (minus the yellow, of course). Ftx have certainly upped their game. I'm kinda bummed out a bit, having bought an older brushed car for my son in March. But I suppose it gives us the chance to convert it to brushless with a system of our choice. Another great video, and the banter between you guys, definitely adds another eleme3to the videos. Take care. 👍🏻

It's a bit of a beast and a definite step-up for FTX. I remember those Toyota colours; they looked great! You can still have a lot of fun with the other model, so don't worry too much! Cheers!

Is it worth going with the Zorro or the updated Apache ?

It purely comes down to what you prefer. They have the same retail price and are very similar in spec. The Zorro has a higher amperage ESC, but the Apache looks slightly the tougher platform. Personally, I'd probably go Apache, just because I like the looks better.

Brushless Zorro is REELY Eraser Supposed to be quite good, has maybe a bit higher end construction and there is so many returns to Conrad, you can get them half price with few runs on them, when you look past Conrad

Any ideas on a way to improve the turning circle of the brushless version? It's got the turning circle of HMS Britannia

It's probably due to either a weak servo, or more likely, a servo saver in-need of tightening. Usually, the servo saver has an adjustment nut above a spring. Try tightening that and see if your steering improves.

@@MrGallotole Oh, I see! You can buy the FTX Carnage sway-bar kit for the front and you can either get the alloy, metal sway bar upgrade for the rear, or you can modify the (much stronger) Axial Yeti sway bar kit to fit. Finally, the foams inside the tyres on the Zorro are terrible! They fall to pieces, causing the tyre-walls to fold-under. Better tyres with better foams make a big difference.
