Nice one. I have a convertible with 11000 miles, a great car. It's my third Jaguar; I drove 160.000 miles with one with no problems. Maintenance is key; for the first 15 minutes, go easy on the throttle. Thank you for the review, and keep the car.

Great video, i have an AWD V8 with the ceramics too. Providing the brakes are good condition they will outlast standard brakes. I had the rear subframe powdercoated as they do rust easily. My exhaust valves failed, replaced them with Modstock Stainless ones, they work better than original. Servicing hasnt been too expensive, spark plugs need doing on age not milage. Tranmission and diff oil flushed and changed but thats just future proofing. The door speakers are easily chnaged to the kevlar cones from other JLR motors, make a big difference to standard, not too expensive to do. Your car looks great, keep it, love mine!

Nice one, I got a very rare V6 manual transmission 2018 model year, Caldera Red with 19" Centrifuge silver wheels, pre GPF with Fuse 15 out (obviously). It sounds and drives amazingly! Mine is actually 1 of 188 built for the UK market.

Nice F type, colour is stunning, the running costs are at the top end~ then there’s servicing 😮 But just look at its road presence 😀

Yeah definitely one of the best looking cars on the road, especially at the price :)

Coolant leaks. I will replace all plastic pipes with aluminium ones. Also, for the SC coupler, get one without the spring. (solid Coupler)

Working from home makes the car ownership finance tricky. My "daily driver" Mercedes C300 is now fetching low ball offers, so low, it is actually worth more for getting groceries than to sell. it has every feature in the world, and breaks all the time. But it's paid off, so I keep it, rather than sell for the scrap metal prices they are offering at Carmax and Carvana. My weekend car is an 07 Corvette, a total luxury, and if it was in great condition I would probably try to trade up. Problem is they don't make the wear out parts any more. The headlights and seat covers, for example. So it would have to go to a special enthusiast kind of buyer who would forgive some work to be done. To end this long story - you are doing it right, Sell frequently, and you won't get surprised by anything. Of course, I would never take on a fuel pump change in my driveway. I tried the fuel filter on a 2000 Camaro and ended up with gasoline in my hair. I can handle oil changes, but not too much more. So you may be able to handle another 10 years of Jag maintenance. Best wishes.

Similar path as yourself, Z4M, S2000 (x2) then 2013 V6S to Supra to 2021 P450 V8. Sold the V6S as it was getting old and big bills kept coming. Loved the Supra, especially with aftermarket exhaust and remap. The performance and handling was something else, a true sportscar as opposed to the F-Type which is more a "sporty" GT car. Like yourself, I missed the F-Type character, but the real reason to change was to get back into a convertible after the Supra and just wondered if you missed that element now you're in a coupe. S2000 was the best weekend car I've owned, Z4M the most flawed.

I am looking for a 2016/17 model, hopefully with an already blacked out package so i don't need to wrap the door frames etc and hoping the exhaust hast been quietened from an update. I am terrified about maintenance costs or surprise issues. I'm in Australia and these are more expensive to purchase than Uk, having said that, these are very very rare on the road, which is what i like, I'm not a sheep and this car stands out when it is seen and heard. Currently have owned since about 2015 an Audi A7, tuned it, got some RS7 rims on it and a muffler delete and the car still looks like a recent model expensive car but i want to own a V8 before the world goes EV and starts in my opinion putting taxes on petrol guzzling V8's. I love James Bond movies and even though this car isn't a Aston Martin, it still has Bond vibes, plus i was born in Bham which is where i believe they were made, i dunno i feel connected to this car. I could immediately pick up the 6 cylinder Ftype as they are a lot cheaper here, but i need the V8, especially after driving one, i just cant see a better car for the price range in the second hand market.....Audi RS5, BMW M3/4, they don't turn my head when i see one, another car in the similar price range is the Merc C63S and im sure its prob more reliable, interior more comfortable and high tec BUT the Mercs these days are so common on the road and the C63S doesn't really stand out from a 4 cylinder recent model merc. There was the Lexus LC500 but there is just no sex appeal with Lexus despite it being a wise reliability choice...........i dont really know what to do

Im looking at getting my first f-type. Coming from a z4, would you recommend the v6 or go straight for the v8?
@benbansal2 ай бұрын
I can afford the 6 now and heaps of them available, I currently have a Audi A7 supercharged 6....I'm holding out for the v8, the sound is next level, the 6 seems to sound good to but I want to own a v8 for once and enjoy it before the world goes EV

V8 - P450 are incredible value (I had one). P575 performance is next level (I have one)

Hmmm the 550+ V8 cars wow you but it eventually become a bit of a gimmick I found. If I was to go out and buy one with a sensible head, I’d go for a V6S or sport 400 convertible.

A Beauty. As soon as you sell it you'll regret it and get another. But you seem to change frequently so I am sure you'll get another. I bought a 2016 R V8 AWD coupe. I got it for $50,000 with only 27,000 miles on the clock. I think it would be hard to sell it. I love driving it as it always puts a smile on my face. It's our date night /weekend car. I retired so I don't need to commute. I get about 22mpg (US gallon). We use our 2019 Jaguar F Pace S V6 for long trips/winter driving. Picked that up for a bargain of $29,000 with only 30,000 miles on it and it's still under warranty.

Do you prefer the rwd over the awd? I'm looking at getting the rwd car. Lighter and more fun. Unless its a financial issue or you dont love it anymore, keep the f type. Its a high spec rwd model with a 550 hp v8. Not something made anymore!
@itscarbeard11 күн бұрын
Hmmm tough to say, the AWD I had was a convertible so that added a lot to the experience, the RWD was a bit skittish but that was fun in a way. The weight in most cases was hard to even feel the difference, the RWD was also far better specced so it was more comfortable to use as well.
